Bone Saddle – Fits Many 1997 to 2019 Martin® Guitars with Undersaddle Pickup - 10 mm Height - Wave Compensated

I bought this bone saddle for my Martin dread as an upgrade over the tusk saddle that it came with. It seemed to improve the sound and add a little bit of volume. It could be all in my head but either way it's a cheap upgrade. The saddle was quite tall out of the package but that isn't a bad thing as everyone will have their own preference when it comes to action height.It comes with a small piece of sandpaper too so you can sand the saddle down to the needed height. Overall a good product and I would purchase again.

I’m sure that they make good products, but this was a touch wide for my d35 and unfortunately I didn’t catch this prior to installing. It cracked left to right when I tensioned the strings and the bridge dropped that last 1/4mm. Need to find 2.3mm saddle for this d35Quick edit. MacNichol guitars went way above what they needed to to help fix this. It was mostly my fault that it cracked and they replaced this-without me even asking for a credit or a replacement.I highly recommend them and will bring as much of my repair supplies to that n the future.Thank you so much for this. I had read many times that replacing your stock saddle with a bone saddle would increase the tone of your acoustic guitar considerably. Well this is true. I emailed the company to make sure I was ordering The correct saddle for my martin X series guitar and they emailed me right back and I had the saddle and three or four days. It went right in place of the old one no sanding was needed and the action is perfect and the sound is really unbelievable and I’m not just saying this and I don’t work for the company. They are a great bunch of folks and I highly recommend this product to anybody looking for greater tone out of your acoustic guitar

It needed a lot of sanding to get the action I was hoping for. But that was expected. It definitely improved the tone of my Martin D-16e.

Real bone. You can tell when you sand it to fit by the smell. Fit my Martin D-12e perfect. Get one for your guitar!

Perfect fit and the added sandpaper strip made the minor height adjustment a breeze
