My kid is disabled due to debilitating migraines. There isn't a lot he can do because he is incredibly sensitive to noise. When he told me he would like to try wood working, without power tools, I was excited for him. He has been using these for a few months. Has he cut himself? Absolutely, they came sharp. They're durable, which is great because he also has adhd and forgets to put his things away sometimes. I don't know much about wood working tools, but he really likes these. I like the bandaids that came with them, though I wish they came with more. 😂

I'm glad I purchased this set. Seem to work well out of the packaging but I can see the need to sharpen in the near future. This is a good starter set and allows you to become familiar with the process before investing too much.

They come somewhat sharp... they could be sharper. A very nice leather case. Comfortable to hold. Unfortunately the gouge snapped off at the handle. I don't know if it wasn't tempered properly or what. I really liked the gouge too, it just didn't hold up.Beavercraft quickly responded and solved the issue. Customer service is great.

I'm new to woodcarving and whittling and all that so I decided to get this set to try out making some spoons/bowls/what have you. So far, I'm satisfied with this purchase. The knives are sharp out of the box and I appreciate having a little carrying case for them. I've been using them a lot and they've been easy to handle, sharpen, and travel with. I only docked one star because maybe they could be more comfortable to hold/work with, but I also have carpal tunnel so maybe it's just me. I would still highly recommend this set.

These cut really well, are comfortable to hold, and sturdy. I made a couple spoons on a camping trip. As a first time spoon carver they seemed to work well on wet and on dry oak which was impressive.
