very good RCA connector for DIY project.
I am making a passive audio RCA to XLR adapter. This connector did the job in the unbalance side. I am not sure about the plating, at present it looks very good.

One connector apparently used

Just what I needed for my hi-fi setup!
This was just what my Pro-Ject RPM 9 needed! My turntable was having connection issues so I thought it was my tonearm wiring. I replaced the wiring and when I was resoldering the wires to the rca's I noticed a lot of corrosion on them so I replaced them with these. Fixed all my issues. I used to second pair to replace my Dual 1219 rca's and it also fixed the issues I was having. So if you have a vintage turntable, think about replacing your rca's on the next tune up! You will be surprised!

Do NOT use for power applications
While these work well for audio applications, do NOT use them for power applications, like for supplying 12VDC power to astronomical telescope dew prevention heaters. I had purchased over a dozen of these and used them in a dew heater battery/controller box for my telescope. I found while plugging cables in to them, because of the recessed insulator in the center of the plug, you could short the body and pin together with the center pin of the RCA plug. If the jack had power on it when you do that, the fuse (assuming/hoping there is one) will blow. I had to replace all of them with a different style RCA jack.
