Pretty easy install on our 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe. You will need to lower the exhaust.

Just finished the installation on a 2019 Kia Sorento LX. It fit perfectly. For the install itself, I would recommend you have a full socket wrench outfit, a torque wrench, a paddle bit, a utility knife, and a second set of hands. Getting some of the bolts to the required tightness was a struggle due to lack of space. The only thing "out of the ordinary" to note is that the driver side rear cover will need a couple of holes punched to make room for bolts (hence the paddle bit and utility knife). Time to install took an hour with a couple handymen. I'll update this review later when I've towed something with it.

I just installed this on my 2017 Kia Sorento EX last weekend. The install was rather easy. It was a little difficult to get the thing in place and bolt it on by myself, but I managed. That is the only part which you may need a second set of hands to help. As others have stated the packaging is not ideal - bubble wrap and a whole lotta plastic wrap. Mine also came a little scuffed. It's not bad enough that I'm worried about it. On some sites you will read that people had difficulty getting the cover panel back on the driver's side that conceals the rear wiring and your tow package wiring. I also had a little difficulty, and had to clip the lip off in the two place where the hitch bolts were. It was a quick and easy modification and I'm confident it will have no negative effects. The included instructions were OK, but I pulled up a quick video on YouTube and used that since I wasn't completely sure what to do after reading the instructions. I'll update this review after I get a chance to use the hitch more. Update: Been a few years now. Have used this many times to haul trailers and bike racks. No complaints at all. 2nd Update: Been another couple years and still holding strong.

Hitch was heavily scratched up and did not have all of the screws listed on packing contents inside instructions. Pretty unhappy but all in all, the company made it right + the quality of the hitch does seem very nice. It should be noted that the instructions state that you may need to use an angle grinder to remove a piece of your vehicle and the item listing states it's a direct bolt on for the 16 kia sorento. Unable to speak for install because without the screws I cant use it. I will attempt to get screws or have it installed by a pro and update review when that time comes.

They say you might have to cut the bumper alignment pins, plan in it. About an inch should surfice so that they don't get in the way. They are metal and don't bend out of the way easily. Other than that problem, fit like a glove and install should take under an hour. Oh, use some lubricant on the rubber exhaust hangers when taking them on/off, much easier that way.

I've owned an installed a variety of hitches in my life. This is probably the 4th one I have installed. I have owned a couple of Draw Tite's prior to this one but I find most hitches are very similar regardless of the brand. I also don't understand why the big fuss about the shipping of the hitch that other reviewers have mentioned. Mine was shipped wrapped in foam and plastic. I guess I can understand if the part that faces out the back of the vehicle was damaged and the black paint came off, it could be unsightly. These things are going to have a tough life under the vehicle anyways so I never really worry about cosmetics too much. I bought this primarily for a bike rack on the vehicle. Very unlikely that I will be doing any towing with it. The install was relatively straight forward except for the final part that involved re-installing the plastic cover on the driver side of the vehicle. From what I can tell there is no way to do this without some sort of modification of this plastic cover . This was not indicated on the instructions, so just be aware of this. After installation it seems straight and looks good tucked under the vehicle. It sits quite a bit under the vehicle, more than other vehicles in my experience.

This is a great product, fit was perfect for my 2016 Kia Sorento, came with clear instructions for installation. Excellent quality. Note a scratch on it when I received it. Took me 40 min to install in my garage.
