great for LED strip lights
I have been researching a way to make LED strip lights portable. I came across this solution in a forum and it works great. DC plug is the right size for our lights.

Works as expected. It's a battery case. :D
Bought these to power a lighting project for my 30+ piece chaotic renegade punk street marching band. Works as expected. My batch didn't come with screws to keep the battery cover on (but it is a pretty tight fit, although after multiple battery changes it gets a little looser) so we have to keep them on with zip ties or gaffer tape so they don't pop off while we entertain the street crowds. We've had these cases before, so we know they work well for small projects.

Couldn't be more pleased
I purchased two of the eight battery models to power my Celestron telescope mount. The plug fit perfectly and the polarity was correct. The on/off switch is a nice touch. So much more convenient then the awkward to fill and badly placed battery compartment on the telescope mount. Word of caution, if you are going to do similar, then be sure and check everything with multimeter as manufacturing specs may change and you don't want to hurt your mount motor.

4.5 stars -1/2 star for no cover screw
These are great little battery packs. I used it to power an LED lighting system in a cabinet. Connected to a PIR motion switch and a string of LED lights, the combination is a great solution for safes, cabinets, closets etc. The case is a good and solid design and reasonably durable. The wire gauge and connector are quite good and I do like the fact that they used one red and one black wire just in case you need to splice it. The battery housing has a removable cover and a hole for a screw to hold the cover on. I found that to be a great design feature but unfortunately that screw wasn't included.

Work great for 12v LED strips or strings of lights
I didn't have any manufacturing issues. They worked fine. Just make SURE what your powering is meant to be powered with 12v (many LED strips are only FIVE VOLTS), or the whole thing is going to be a mess. And possibly on fire.

Issues can be fixed by user!
This may help a few people...I discovered that rather than problems with the switch, some of the plastic housings must have not been molded or assembled properly. As a consequence, some of the contacts are not able to touch the batteries. Clippers or an box-cutter can be used to remove the excess plastic causing misalignment or interfering with the contact. I read some people thought the issue was the switch. I would highly recommend using a meter to test contact before sending them back.If you are not willing to make the changes, then send them back...

Work as intended
So far so good... They are working as intended.I purchased these to make some LED Strips mobile. Stinks that you have to use so many batteries for such small lights... But regardless these are working for me. Question is, how long will the batteries last while powering these lights. Maybe I can come back and update this review after I test that out.

Surprisingly disappointed
Saw many positive reviews for linking this to LED lights. The boxes did not seat Amazon’s rechargeable AA batteries or Duracell AAs. The box was too small and I did not have time to request a replacement. Had to cut the dividing walls inside the box to fit 8 batteries properly. Left the second box (which had the same problem) outside to see if the sun would warm up the plastic to for squeezing in batteries, the plastic warped after 20 minutes in the sun (so do not let these see sun light ? Mogwai rules??)I ordered the AA, the box reads AA but too small for AA and too large for AAA. May have been a fluke pack but would not recommend.
