Like Grandpa Always Said... You Get What You Pay For!
A little background… On Nov 2, 2016 we bought a Tendlite infrared therapy light. This came sourced with two Ultrafire 3000 mAh 18650 rechargeable lithium batteries. I have steadfastly stuck to flashlights that used “standard” (AA, AAA, D) batteries my whole life but alas… Technology advances whether we like it or not.In use the Tendlite would noticeably draw these Ultrafire batteries down with only 20-30 minutes use so I searched for additional batteries and an intelligent charger. The charger I went with was an Opus BT - C3100 V2.2 (see my review of that charger but bottom line, I like it a lot).So with an intelligent charger in hand I tested the Ultrafire 3000 mAh battery, the EBL 3000 mAh battery, and some Panasonic NCR18650B 3400 mAh batteries. The cost on these as of 1/20/17 are as follows:Ultrafire $3.22 eaEBL $3.08 eaPanasonic $10.00 eaThe actual tested capacity for each cell and the $’s per mAh are as follows:Ultrafire 2358 mAh $0.00137/mAh 78.6% of rated capacityEBL 2186 mAh $0.00141/mAh 72.9% of rated capacityPanasonic 3451 mAh $0.00290/mAh 101.5% of rated capacitySo the data shows the Chinese clones are half the cost and provide roughly 3/4 of the stated performance. Now obviously I just bought all of these but if we extrapolate the life span I would guess that at best the Chinese will also have 3/4 of the number of charges in them (although lifespan is as tough as capacity so it wouldn’t surprise me if the number of charges is 1/2 of the name brand Panasonics. To sum my review I REALLY hate inflated claims on products. If the EBL’s and Ultrafire’s were advertised and rated as 2000 mAh batteries and sold as such I would give them 5 stars for coming in at 2200 or 2300 mAh! As such it is deceptive business to claim higher capacity than you can deliver. The Panasonics are just the opposite. They claim 3000 mAh and essentially they mean “3000 mAh minimum”. That is a quality product!

These are GREAT! Do not trust cheap Chinese knockoff batteries. Stay with named brands like this one for best result.
I had a bunch of supposedly large capacity (6000mAh) batteries from a Chinese manufacturer that just never seems to hold a charge long enough in my big flashlight. Then I was pointed to these by a friend who uses them in his vape device. When these arrived, even though they claim almost 1/2 the capacity of the other batteries, they were about twice as heavy. Good sign. I charged them up which took almost twice as long to charge fully at the same charging rate. Another good sign, they must have bigger capacity obviously Then I used them in my big flashlight, and they lasted 3 to 4 times as long as the other batteries! They worked beautifully. So it was off to the web to investigate. And it seems a lot of these 18650 batteries sold are cheap fakes and do not even come close to their listed capacity. That is not the case here. The article suggested just a few brands of 18650 batteries to trust, and Panasonic was at up there at the top of their list. And I can attest to that. Run time on this batteries is excellent, they are still working great more than 6 months later. No more cheap Chinese junk batteries for me. They may cost a bit more, but they are well worth the price difference.

This 18650B battery is longer than other 18650 batteries.
This 18650B battery is longer than other 18650 batteries. Can put into flash light, but VERY difficult to put into other chargers.

Also the top has this thin piece of plastic that can easily come off
The black bottom piece is loose and have to be careful not to accidently knocking into it. Also the top has this thin piece of plastic that can easily come off.

Mine were not 3400 mAh
The batteries I received were not 3400 mAh. I charged them both, and one maxed of at 2586. The other maxed of at 2607. I suggest you keep searching for batteries.

Beware! Larger by a crucial fraction than most other batteries of this type.
Worked great in the only one item it would fit! Buyers beware, these batteries are longer by millimeters than most others. They did not fit any of my portable fans, chargers and other small items that I have.
