Can the soles be replaced by a shoe repairman or are they just throwaways if the sole cracks, splits, or wears out?

How heavy are these boots?

Although I’m uncertain of the exact weight they are not that heavy. I own a pair of Georgia Steel-Toe lwork boots and they are nowhere near that heavy. I could compare them to a pair of Merrell Jungle Mocs.
