This was a fantastic case, I recommend a mild thread lock to any screws or bolts going into metal but it isn’t necessary, kept my phone safe even when it fell into the salt water off a dock about 10-15ft to the bottom, even drove over it with my car a few times after working on it and forgetting my phone was under it, buttons worked great still, the mic was a bit muffled though due to the complete enclosure but that was fine

I bought this case when I bought a replacement screen for my iPhone 8+. I had tried out a Otterbox case and dropped the phone, breaking the screen glass. (I’ll probably also be reviewing my experience replacing my screen glass). This is a heavy duty phone case. It will likely double the weight of your phone. That aside, it’s rugged, durable and sleek. There are two types of hex keys included, either one will seat the screws that lock the case together. The charging port cover is well made and takes a only slight effort to open and secure. The “gorilla” glass is top quality. The touch sensitivity is great. I’ve had a similar case on an older model iPhone and when I removed it after two years, the phone was like new. (Just so you know, pop socket will not work on this case.) I’ve read other reviews about paint peeling off and all I can say is always be aware of what you use to wipe down your phone. Certain chemicals or solvents can cause paint to separate from metal surfaces if it gets through the finish and impacts the paint bonding agent. This phone case in my opinion was well worth the cost, which was actually very inexpensive.

Great phone case. By far the strongest case I’ve ever had. I didn’t have problems with the screen cover. It’s actually a plastic film(not glass). Touching the screen works fine. No muffled audio, but I haven’t tried talking on the phone yet. So far 5/5.

Need a case that can take some nice heavy hits? This case can take a lot. I have reached a point where i casually toss it to the stony ground without a care to the world. No matter how many hits it takes you’re phone will be ok. A screw or two might pop out if after though; key word might. The only two annoying features you’ll find are... 1. Un-screwing it to clean dirt out. ( i don’t care what any maker says, dirt will get in and it will need to be clean.) but it is simple and easy to take apart and clean with a micro dust cloth. 2. And probably the bige- fix that. It is my biggest problem and the hole reason i couldn’t bring myself to place five stars. You will find at one time another that the sound echos from the case. You will lose sound quality with this case when not using headphones. I think it is because how the case protects the phone from water. (hadn’t had much problems with water to say anything about other than it keeps it dry from everyday water encounters, not bottom of a swimming pool event.) Because like i sated it seems to be an “echo” like distosion in sound. With all of this, i’m afraid it still did not last a year for me. (Maybe i shouldn’t have toss it so much.🤔) One of the things that the six screw go into broke off where i can no longer screw in the top left corner of the phone. Causing problems with the silent button. But all and all; well worth the money. Maybe if i, you know, actually took care of it; it could have lasted over a year. 4/5 ⭐️
