Good value for money, considering the size.
Going through all the sizes of portable hard drives, this one was the cheapest at the time of purchase. For the money, this is a good size of storage. The drive is bigger than most portable drives, and has to be externally powered, but you get the PSU in the box. You also get a stand, so you can mount the drive in a vertical position, which looks good. And lastly, you get the USB cable, and a very small, thin manual.Connecting the drive was as simple as plugging in a USB cable to a USB 3.0 port on my PC. and powering it from it's own PSU.Like other reviewers have posted, this is quite a loud drive when it's busy reading/writing lots of files. Not loud enough to bother anyone, especially if it's in a room with a TV/Radio.I copied over a good 3Tb of files, including Windows backups, music, movies, mobile phone camera backup pictures, etc.. it took a while, but was as fast as most USB hard drives.I bought this drive purely for backup, to keep files in a safe place, and keep the drive in a cupboard, or drawer. And for the money, this is perfect for my needs. Definitely recommended for a backup drive.

Very noisy and slow
Firstly the packaging was terrible it was basically loose in a box to big with no foam, the sound that comes form these is weird to say the least, I've wrapped elastic bands around them to stop the vibration and reduce the noise, to say these are slow is an understatement, when you open file explorer go and make a cup of tea and wait for it to wake up.

Great for storage on ps5
This is a great storage for ps5 and playing ps4 games on the ps5. If you need to play stored ps5 games, you need to move them back over to the console. But in my opinion it doesn't take too long. Great little buy.

Quite Impressive value
I copied a video file in between 14-15 minutes the size was 25gb its not as fast as my SSD but I should think this is mechanical drive, I haven't opened it out yet but SSD at 6TB wouldn't cost 100 quid so it must be mechanical as I also feel the vibration beats of the magnetic reader as I touch the Sonnics I feel its heart beat while its running something so to speak. That is proof its mechanical. It ran my 1080p blueray quality video smooth off it with absolutely no slowdown.I can see why its fully cased alluminium with 3 air cooling at the front, it can get warm quick from at first touch was ice cold since its been in an outside air environment, but the cooling of the case seems to be keeping it under control for now at least.Seeking through the video I copied there was no slowdown it was instant continue run no matter backwards or forwards through so speed is there and now its down to lastability how long will it last and this performance only time will tell and it could take years.I will update this should anything go wrong and even in time if this breaks say 10 years down the line if I live that long I will take reference of the day I used it to the day it died and let you all know how long its lasted overall, Providing I'm still alive myself. Some harddrives I've used would be pretty slow when running a 25gb 1080p blueray quality movie but this Sonnics HDD (hard drive) has broken that barrier I had with older mechanical drives.I couldn't quite give it full stars because there is a little noise if your up close to it and putting pressure running things off it you could feel the vibrations a little if your doing that and touching the desk, but luckily I have it off desk and with headphones on I couldn't hear it anymore, even without the headphones its rather silent because I have a fan blowing which out audio's the sonnics so its still a win win for me.So the bad is a little noise and some tick tick beats while its actively running something but is not noticable if your like me and have headset on with the harddrive further away from your desk.It also doesn't have an LED light that flickers when the harddrive is working not that I could see anyways its not a deal breaker for me but I would prefer a small light that would flicker showing me the harddrive is active or not, if there is one its probably at the back where I can't get to it let alone see it and should of been at the front. The last one is an undetermined durability that can only be tested through time.Overall there is too much good things right now for me to say about this product hence the decent review that outweighs the negatives. Comes with 3 pin plug with a 2 pin adapter for travel, they both can twist slot out and back in, power and usb cable, a screw driver to open the case out, you could do that to get more cool air in the case if you wanted or to diagnose problems or replace parts, if your a technician like I used to on old windows 95, 98, xp and 7 computers.and lastly comes with a slot in stand for sideways harddrive. Well there is one other thing a sticky foam pad, haven't really figured where I put that yet if any its probably something to put the harddrive flat instead of sideways perhaps. If this product lasts more than 10-15 years it would deserve an award since the price vs 5.45TB free is amazing. Just so you know its not 6TB realtime the system uses some of it up to run its not much under 6,000gb which is 6TB. This will be 5,450gb is what you get in the end.Typically mechanical harddrives run smooth for about 3-5 years running consistently, anything after that it will start slowing down maybe and most likely cause errors over time, then damage and durability loss is assured but could still work even 10 years+ on. I have an old harddrive that still works after 20 years, but its very slow. You could use this as just a backup drive for your less important data but don't keep it running and never bang it against anything or drop it. This way it will last longer. If you want someting that lasts really long with the best reliability and speeds you should probably go for something like an SSD samsung pro evo but those will literally cost an arm and a leg. Will be back one day hopefully to update this review, until then its still fine.
