fits well, but falls short in terms of quality expectations.
it does work well fits well, sadly design flaw exists, as a back rubber panel flaps about after assembling it. unless you yourself, buy and stick double sided tape in-between hard case and rubberised surface, (which feels like its crumbling and made out of 5 times recycled rubber) it will annoy and catch dirt under potentially destroying it all. this all making it all half DIY tablet case. phone cases used to be go to, now not so much. £50? for DIY case? not again. small things ruin it. OTTER box should make rubber higher quality and fire the designer.

Very tough but some annoying durability flaws
I have owned 3 cases over 2 generations of iPad Pro. In my experience this is an extremely tough case that will protect your device from significant levels of abuse. However these cases lack durability. The outer rubber will start to deform very quickly and become baggy especially around the Apple window on the back. This is even worse on the current generation due to the rubber not locking into the side where the pen is. As a result the rubber along the whole cut out for the pen becomes deformed and loose. The hinge mechanisms on the pen door and hard cover stand are weak and will snap off. I rarely use my pen however the pen door hinges broke very quickly. This product could be improved by changing the outer rubber to something stiffer and using a different mechanism to lock in the outer rubber protection to the inner hard case. I find the spigen case material is much stiffer and harder to deform. It may feel cheaper and is an overall lower quality how ever it will be more durable as a product. If you are listening Otterbox change the product, within 6 months my current defender case has suffered these flaws. I won’t buy a 4th case I’m looking elsewhere.
