Excellent quality, pretty sharp factory edge and takes an ever better edge if you sharpen it. The grip is very good, I think it's the best grip of any knife I've tried. I weights about 250 grams, it fits a standard messermeister or any sort of blade guard you want to use (unlike my Victorinox). I bought it on sale for 20$, and for that amount I would wholeheartedly recommend picking this knife up, it is a sturdy workhorse and will not disappoint you if you're looking for a German-style, heavy knife.

I like a heavy knife and this one feels good. Wasn't quite as sharp as I felt it should be out of the box, but its doing the job. A good all around chopper.

I'm a home user, but this is a good quality knife and excellent value. It has a balanced weight and was very sharp right out of the package. This probably won't be suitable for pro chefs, or people who are used to using more expensive blades, but for your average home cook, this is great and beats my Henckels chef knife that came with a set.

Bought this for the 2nd time after moving countries. Best knife I've ever wielded in a home kitchen!
