Blum 170 Degree Face Frame Hinge

I had a hinge break off of a lazy susan (mostly due to deferred maintenance -- one of the hinges needed to be correctly reseated but before I could get around to it, the additional pressure this placed on the remaining hinge caused the metal piece to bend and eventually snap). I looked at Home Depot for replacement hinges, and they suggested I'd need to go to a specialty cabinet shop or order online (they didn't have any hinges with more than a 110 degree angle). This was the first hinge that came up, had good reviews, and sounded like it would work. I usually like to get a little more exact when I buy replacement parts, but this seemed close and cheap enough to just go for it. The hinge is clearly very nicely made in comparison to the old hinges we had. Installation was much easier than I was anticipating -- the circular depression in my door was the right size (these seem to be standard). I did have to drill new holes in the cabinet frame (probably could've skipped the pilot hole had there been better access to the frame), but minimal measuring was necessary -- I basically eyeballed the center of where my old hinges sat, drew a line there, and then tried to center the new hinges on that line. The hinge piece that attaches to the cabinet frame has a little "lip" that grabs the cabinet frame face, so I didn't need any other measuring to determine how deep to place the hinge within the door. Lastly, whereas my old hinges had some kind of fiddly screw that attaches the hinge mount to the hinge proper (the main reason I was avoiding replacing my hinge in the first place) this hinge has a very simple spring system that allows you to simply snap the hinge onto its mount. I was able to mount this hinge without any help and with limited cursing (to be fair, the cursing wasn't due to any issues with the hinge -- I managed to smash my finger in the lazy susan door while I was checking to see if it lined up correctly). Was really happy with the build quality (it doesn't feel like this is going to fail in the same way as our old hinges) and how easy it was to install -- I was anticipating a much more difficult time. Please note, if it's not clear, 1 pair is two hinges (not a hinge and a hinge mount), or enough for a full cabinet door.

It’s an exact fit for the original and name brand. It looks to be redesigned to use less material but has the same mechanism. It works like the original. Something I noticed is that the broken piece detaches from this assembly so maybe I could have just ordered that piece separately.

Very solid hinge - almost a perfect replacement for the original 198.860-01.24 that broke.

First off, the description was confusing: was this a set of hinges/faceplates or just one? I received one (1) hinge/faceplate. I put it on (I only needed one) and it was an exact match for the thirty year old Blum 70.550-01 hinge /198.860-01 faceplate that was left on the door! Awesome. Everything including the screw holes lined up perfectly. Positives: fast next day service with Prime, good price, screws included Negatives: description is vague, no dimensions listed and no cross reference available

Needed to be able to open my cabinet doors further than they did so I didn't have to walk around the door as I am loading groceries into my pantry. Worked great. Easy to install.

I was a little afraid that the replacement hinges would not fit correctly in the door hinge holes and that once installed they would not lay so nice and flat to the corner cabinet for the Lazy Susan in my kitchen. This kitchen was custom built in 1993, and the German hinges gave up the ghost in 2020. The new hinges fit perfectly in the existing door holes, and were easy to align on the cabinet side. New fastener holes had to be drilled in the cabinet side, but the empty holes are hard to see. These hinges have little locating feet that you line up with the edge of the cabinet. Easy to install and seem quite sturdy. No white metal like the old hinges. VERY happy with the purchase.

Wonderful. Could not find anywhere in store. This replaced a previous bracket on our corner cabinet. Great quality and fit perfect! It is only ONE hinge. But it matched/works with the other hinge we have so it wasn’t an issue
