Good idea, poor design/execution.
I've been using it for only about a month and the lid cracked. The lid vent hole is in the center of the mug so when you drink your coffee the coffee can get in the hole and clog it, making a whistling noise (or worse, completely clogged). You can't clean the vent hole out well with just soap and water so I had to poke it through with a paper clip to clear out the coffee residue. If the vent hole is totally cleared out when you sip your drink it sometimes splashes out of this hole and onto your nose. It isn't very well insulated either so coffee gets cold faster than in a contigo. First few times drinking out of it it had a weird waxy type taste to it, probably from the bamboo protectant/processing but I don't notice it anymore. I did received lots of compliments on how cute it looked though...

NOT microwave safe
I purchased this cup specifically because the packaging AND the bottom of the cup clearly stated that the cup is microwave safe. We do not have a stove in my office and I wanted a covered cup that I could use to make tea. The first time I attempted to use the cup in the microwave, after a little more than a minute I could hear some popping and crackling noises coming from the microwave. I immediately stopped the cycle and opened the door. A strong burning smell emanated from the cup. In addition there are now brown burn marks around the inside of the cup. Clearly this cup is NOT microwave safe, despite the fact that the company goes out of their way to state that it is, and despite the fact that microwave safe is printed on the tag AND on the bottom of the cup.

Not durable
This cup works ok to keep liquids hot. However, one small chip in the side of the lid turned into a huge crack. No durability at all.
