I bought this for my Dad's tablet, so that we could connect via video calls without him having to hold his devise. He's 90 years old. Unfortunately, it seems that someone in his assisted living facility stole his devise. I wish there was a feature to make the devise it holds more difficult to steal.

I'm logged into my husband's Amazon account to leave a "verified-purchase" review of this sturdy little stand. I regularly use a portable monitor, a 15.6" Asus Zenscreen (it looks to be MB16AC), which is a few years old now. That device comes with a magnetic "origami" cover that folds into a stand, which is great for the coffeeshop, but it's awkward for a home office. The screen also weighs 1.7 pounds. I wanted a stand that would keep my portable monitor at eye level without eventually sinking from the weight. The bracket/clamp is straining at its maximum extension -- I'm pretty sure it will never securely hold a smaller device again! -- but it is holding my Zenscreen at eye level safely and sturdily. My workspace looks nice and tidy, too. I can't say for sure that this stand will fit other brands of portable monitors, but it does clamp onto the Asus Zenscreen MB16AC, to my utter delight. I am very impressed with the appearance and build quality of this stand. It's pretty phenomenal overall.

Base & arm are built well but not sure how the holder will hold up for the IPad.
