I had a a couple of pairs of mesh shorts that worn out in the waist and wouldn’t stay in place.I would wear them on warm summer nights when I went to bed. I don’t know why, but I’m not one for pajamas. Anyway I thought I’d give these a the. I have to admit these are much nicer that the older ones I had been using. In fact I’d say they were lighter weight than what I had been using. The length is exactly what I wanted. Because of this I decided to get a second paint and I am thinking about getting a third pair.If I had to make one suggestion that would be additional colors. To be more specific, I’d like to see a true blue color.

These shorts are a great value, very comfortable, and the fit is true! I bought one pair to try and ended up buying three more pairs in other colors. I wear them for working out or running errands around town. The quality of the fabric seems nice and washes/drys quite well. I haven't had any snags or picks from wearing, keys, cell phone, wallet, etc. in the pockets, which are quite deep and nice.I agree with several comments from other reviews:1) The inner drawstring is indeed VERY long! To the point that I thought it was going to hang out the bottom leg of the shorts! It also tangles up with things in the washer/dryer! This is the only drawback I find about the shorts.2) I've been wearing the shorts for a couple of weeks and wash/dry a lot; I don't know that the fabric will hold up forever - time will tell. But for this great price, I don't particularly care. If they wear out in a year, then no brainer to replace at this great price point!3) I don't feel that the fabric is so sheer or see through, that I am uncomfortable. However, in all the colors, you can definitely tell if you are wearing underwear, thong, a jockstrap, or commando. The lines or lack of lines are very pronounced as others have said. It's not indecent, but if you are modest about such things, you might not feel comfortable. Me, I could care less!It's a great buy and for every day work out or wear - try them! I think you will like them! An affordable and good value from Hanes!

The material is breathable and feels nice to the touch, like shorts you've owned for several years. However, the elastic waistband is a letdown. It's far too loose that you'll absolutely need to cinch and tie the drawstrings if you plan to keep anything in the pockets. I just can't be bothered with that. I repurposed a small bungee cord lock from an old jacket, and it was a more convenient solution than tying off. Even though these shorts are inexpensive, I'd much rather spend more on better product.

These are nice shorts... a little long, but very comfy.
