My dog has allergies all year long. She's on medication and seeing a Dermatologist. I bought a highly recommended collar (blow-up piece w/cloth over) but I found my dog could still lick and get to spots on her body. I bought another collar recommended by one of my Vets it was just so large and cumbersome. My dog could barely walk. She could also easily get it off. I found these and they are similar to the ones you get at the Vet's office but they have a softer neck and they are much more sturdy. I use only one of them since it's the best fit but I am happy to have the other sizes which I only use when I've washed the main one. This works perfectly and my dog cannot get to any of her spots while wearing. The only thing you need to remember is that they can't drink when wearing this cone. My dog lets me know when she wants a drink, ha ha! But just be careful to remember that they can't drink with them on or at least mine can't. But she's not wearing it often or a lot but it definitely helps so much when she has allergy flare-ups. I think, for me, this is the best collar out there for dogs. I wasted money on the other two collars which for my dog didn't work. I highly recommend.

Unfortunately I once again had to find a cone for my girl after another surgery. I bought this cone last year after ear surgery and it was perfect. Comfortable to sleep in and it kept my girl safe. Having just had surgery on her leg I bought the doughnut collar. It was comfortable but she could easily reach the wound. Even a larger size didn’t work so I once again ordered these cones. I should have saved myself the headache and ordered them before she went in. She is so happy and so comfortable and I can rest assured that her wound is safe. Fantastic product at a fair price

Our Aussie likes this cone better than the one from the vet because it's - shorter for a given neck size (not extending way past her nose) - easier to get around in - protected with a sturdy fabric rim, which cushions bumps against door frames and people's legs We like it because - she tolerates it better - leg bumps are soft, with no sharp plastic edge - this cone will probably last longer, as it's not getting banged up and crunched as much as the long ones - you get 5 (or 6?) for the price of one, though most of them are too small for us. - the velcro closure is secure and infinitely adjustable The velcro closure has a couple of possible concerns: - the fabric inside the cone might get dirty and require more cleaning. So far so good, with a very active indoor/outdoor dog. - the fabric weights the cone so it is always on the down side. So far not a problem.
