Received used product but…
Definitely received a used product as the logo is all scratched up and so is the flashlight lens. Other than that, haven’t had to use it but seems compact enough for everyday carry

Great Product Recommended.
I wanted to have something that was a deterrent (just in case), and was effective and legal to carry. The color is a pretty bright pink, the audible alarm is loud and the flashing light works great. It's very easy to activate and is easy to deactivate. It apparently has a one year battery and the battery can be replaced, it's a CR2032. I highly recommend this item. I attached mine to my key ring. And we always carry our keys, so it's with me every time I leave the building.

Inferior Product
This item is inferior. I pulled the plug and tested it once. Now it goes off all the time, even from a little movement. It went off in church today and all I did was sit down my purse!!!!! If I even touch it, the siren goes off. I'll be returning it.

It was a gift to an old friend she feels comfortable going on walks now I know from hearing it first hand it makes a racket. If it doesn't draw attention I don't know what would. I consider this a good buy as long as keeps her safe

Not loud enough to be a deterrent.....UPDATE!!!
UPDATE!!!The seller was gracious enough to send me another one. This second one was a nice hot pink number which I loved. It was a little louder this time. I took it to school and tried it in the school parking lot. It got the attention of the front desk staff so YAY! Additionally, the strobe light worked this time. I still think my whistle is louder but this is a good alternative and a nice gift especially for young teen girls like myself. An additional 2 stars added to rating which gives a total of 3 stars.*********I purchased the mint-green.I do not believe that this will serve the purpose it was purchased for. I did not think it was loud enough to be a safety device. For context, my mom is a fitful sleeper and will wake up if leaves touches her window. I stood outside her window and pulled the top off and she did not wake up. I then used my simple whistle and she woke up. In essence, a whistle made more sense as an alert mechanism. The strobe light did not flash, instead it was a solidly but dimly lit up during the alarm.I do not know if it is just this particular item or the brand as a whole but it was a little disappointing.On the plus side, it is lightweight and inconspicuous. In terms of ease of use, the top came off easily enough and also went back in just as easily. I worry if it will remain tight enough to not spontaneously pop-off and go off but that remains to be seen.OVERALL:Not the best option for safety alarm....
