Decatur pipe wax works like a charm!
My old go to briar wipe ran out after 5 years or so and I couldn't find it anymore. Gave Decatur pipe wax a try on some old family pipes that had been sitting in an attic. Cleaned up and shining like new! Easy and quick to use too.

Ideal for typical home use to keep a shine on your smooth briar pipes.
Apply as needed to smooth briar pipe surfaces (avoid on sandblasted and carved pipes), allow to dry, then rub with a microfiber cloth or even a clean cloth diaper, followed by a pipe polishing cloth or chamois and you will get a suitable shiny pipe surface back. It won’t be as shiny as a carnauba wax application with a buffing wheel, but it comes close enough.

It's alright.
It's alright. It might be protective to put this on, doesn't really brighten up pipes by much, doesn't make look new or anything, BUT it does add something - maybe that's just what happens when caring and cleaning your pipes. I mostly use it now on my guitar fretboards and the bridge section on acoustics. Actually does more for the fretboards than pipes, IMO. Darkens wood, which is nice on fretboards and unfinished pipes.

Great stuff
I used this for the first time yesterday. I was impressed at how well it brought out a lustrous shine and made the briar come alive. I should have taken a before and after picture. I just followed the instructions on the can. I used it on about 50 pipes and still have at least 2/3 of a jar left.

Great on your smooth finished pipes!
Leaves a nice shine with a little buffing on your pipes if you want.

Good stuff!
A great, easy way to bring some lustre back to a well-loved pipe! Just wipe it on, let it sit 10 minutes, wipe it off ang your set! Don't expect the sheen of a fresh coat of varnish, but it will add a nice, pleasant glow to your bowl.

A fine coat
Pretty standard wax coating. Easy to apply. Neutral smell and easy to store. The price was not too bad though I think it could have been cheaper. For now this works for my purposes and as I explore other wax coats for keeping my meerschaum pipes looking good, I will use this as the benchmark on where I will judge other wax coats.
