How Does It Work & What Is It Good For: Green light is the calming wavelength of ...
Green light therapy typically falls in the wavelength range of 515 nm to 520 nm and is most frequently used for skin treatments and anti-aging therapies, such as an LED photofacial. How Does It Work & What Is It Good For: Green light is the calming wavelength of light. This therapy promotes balance and calm in the skin while reducing redness. Anti-aging therapies often include green light therapy. In addition to reducing redness, the calming effect of this wavelength has been known to have anti-inflammatory properties that can work to reduce hyperpigmentation. Its calming nature can be used in combination with other light therapy to further rejuvenate the skin. The green light also calms damaged skin and reduces pain associated with it. While the green light has a number of uses, as mentioned above, it is primarily used to improve pigmentation that has been caused by the sun and to restore similar damages. This treatment will help to fade: • Sun spots • Freckles • Age spots • Reddish and brownish patches • Liver spots • Hyperpigmentation • Melanin problems The green light can affect the appearance of these spots and discolorations by affecting the melanocytes that reside in the bottom layer of the epidermis. They reduce the production of these cells which allows the spots and patches to fade over time. The fading of these patches results in the appearance of younger, healthier, rejuvenated skin and a more even complexion. How Often Should I Use It: Although this is a safe and effective treatment, it still shouldn’t be used daily. Instead, you need to give your skin time to rest between treatments. For this reason, it’s recommended that you only have treatments two or three times per week. Each of these sessions should last for 15 – 30 minutes. Benefits of green light: Green light is absorbed into the skin where it has a calming effect. It helps to lighten hyper-pigmentation spots revealing a brighter complexion. The calming effect also has anti-inflammatory properties that soothe the surface of the skin. Green LED Therapy is used to treat dilated capillaries, sagging skin around the eyes, under eye circles, hyperpigmentation and sun spots, even sagging breasts. As mentioned above, green light therapy typically falls in the wavelength range of 515 nm to 520 nm and is most frequently used for skin treatments aimed at anti-aging and removal of unwanted pigment. In all fairness, the independent research backing up the benefits of green LED therapy pale in comparison to what is seen perhaps with red LED therapy. Green LED therapy can help to fade the appearance of freckles, age spots (or sun spots), brown patches or uneven skin pigment. My experience has been very positive and the RubyLux bulb are a very good quality … the price is not bad either. I have purchased a few more from this seller and plan to get several more for Christmas gifts this year. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions and if you’ve found this review helpful please say so! Cheers!

Fantastic for rosacea and my sensitive skin!
I use the RubyLux Red & Blue, RubyLux Green, and the RubyLux Amber/Yellow lights and I will be leaving this review on each. I have rosacea so my face is always red and dry, and I have some broken blood vessels on my cheeks and near my nose. I have flare-ups from anything - light (sun AND artificial), emotions (anything but neutral!), allergies, skincare products, cold and/or heat, medications/supplements - basically I turn red from existing! LOL. I make a few of my own facial products to reduce irritation while still receiving my anti-aging benefits. These lights are a welcome addition to my regimen! These lights have reduced the small amount of acne I get (and reduced the color), reduced not only the rosacea flare-ups I have but also the duration of my giant hot, red patches - my face can recover in minutes instead of hours. I haven't seen much reduction in the blood vessels yet, but admittedly with the busy season, I've forgotten to use my lights for the last two weeks - I can very much tell a difference! I bought these a month ago and these benefits mentioned were from only two weeks of use. Without using them, I have more flare-ups, more general redness, longer recovery time (IF I even recover that day...). These lights are a necessity for me. The only downsides are these - and this is NOT related to the specific product!: Time and effort. The instructions say to use this for 5-15 minutes (I assume per section that the light covers). I use these on my entire face (4 sections), my neck and my chest. I don't always have 45 minutes to devote to this even to allow only 5 minutes per section per (3) lights. Though if RubyLux will consider making more combined lights and a much larger size to cover the whole face, I'd be ecstatic! The red, blue, yellow and green combination for rosacea is the ultimate necessity. I'd love to have all 4 colors in one light so I don't have to spend 45 minutes on my face, neck and chest. (And yes, I know there is someone online who makes these custom, but for the ~$300 he charges, I'd love to have a larger, customized RubyLux product instead. RubyLux - big opportunity!)

Gets hot!
A bit concerned about this bulb. After a few minutes it starts to get warm/hot. I thought these lights were supposed to remain cool. The red/blue bulb works great and let's off very very little heat.

Great for Mobile Business!
I'm a licensed Aesthetician with a busy mobile practice. I can't take my full set up of supplies with me, but I do like to incorporate light therapy into every facial, if possible. The RubyLux LED bulbs let me do that. I bought the green (ease redness in complexions, great for rosacea), red (great for firming and anti-aging benefits), and the yellow (tones the skin/hyper-pigmentation related issues). I bought a flexible hanging light cord with a on/off switch (http://www.amazon.com/Lightingsky-Hanging-Socket-2-Prong-Switch/dp/B00ZFTDWVU/ref=pd_sim_sbs_328_16?ie=UTF8&dpID=41vJgV2KVUL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&refRID=1AXK9WW82HVH0A10B6QT) I can use anywhere, as long as there is electricity. These lights are great! I put a small bit of plastic wrap over the light(not touching the metal part of the bulb), and that keeps it hygienic. They really work as well as my full set up, but it does take more time to use these. I use it for problem areas during an hour long service. Has really upped my mobile service offerings. Hope my review helps someone else. I included a photo of the light spectrum and how deep/where it affects the skin, for anyone who is interested.

Very Small LED Bulb
I use this for hyperpigmentation on my face. The bulb is very small so it takes a long time to use on each area I have the hyperpigmentation. I would much prefer a larger bulb that can cover more area. I haven't seen any change yet but I haven't been using that long. Currently searching for a larger bulb or panel.
