I bought this item but it doesn't seem to fit. i have the 1940 steam cleaner. the original one just popped right in. any ideas? thanks!

Bissell replacement part #2038413 only fits into the Bissell 1940 if when looking into the machine (when tank is removed) and you only see white plastic. If you see the black receptacle with round orange the fix is to remove the black and orange receptacle with pliers, just pull out. Then insert the tank into the machine. No forcing, it just fits right in! Bissell told me how to do it.

Will this cap fit my Crosswave 2306A tank?

Im’sorry But I can’t recall what type this goes to. It has worked like a champ since I got it for mine. The secret is to empty the water after each use and les e the cap on loosely.

Does anyone know if this cap will work on a model 1867-7? That model has been discontinued, along with the corresponding part.
