Coolplay Clockwise & Anti-Clockwise Motor Spare Parts for UDI U817 817C U817A U818A RC Quadcopter (Pack of 4)

Some of the issues:1. Despite what the description says, this kit is NOT compatible with DBPOWER UDI U818A. Sure, it is plug/pin/mechanically compatible. BUT the motors overheat and soon fail, whereas the original motors remain warm.2. Quality (control) is sub par. One motor did not work, out of the box. Another's LED did not work.3. Workmanship, ie wiring, soldering, ..., is not very good (compared to the original part).4. If it did work, it was not for long. Flight control would be difficult (rotor RPM speed seems different than originals),and the motor would seize within 20 min. (also discharging the battery unevenly).

I ordered the motors before reading the reviews and was worried that I wasn't going to receive the product I was expecting. The motors arrived on time and and they were the right ones for the U818A drone even the LED's were correct blue in front red in back. To my surprise I received a set of props with my order which wasn't mentioned in the in the discription of the item.

What is shipped is exactly as described, but is not what the UDI 817 and 818 need for an exact 4 motor replacement. What is needed is:Front Motors1 - Counter Clockwise with WHITE light pipe (Blue went lit)1 - Clockwise with WHITE light pipe (Blue when lit)Rear Motors1 - Counter Clockwise with RED light pipe1 - Clockwise with RED light pipeIn order to retain proper navigational light position (white/blue in front, red in rear), you will need to disassemble two of them and swap lights (requires a little soldering).I exchanged multiple emails with Coolplay and was rewarded with immediate overnight responses. I described the issue, sent them the U818 Manual (showing motor rotation and placement). They sent me another set, but it was the same combination. They have offered a full refund (I declined as I now have 2 sets and I know how to use a soldering gun). I give them 5+ stars for trying to make me a happy customer. They have said they will be changing the description and packaging. We'll see, meanwhile just be aware. It's a reasonably priced package if they sort things out.

Price and deliver speed is right. Already had 2 of the 4 motors burn out though so go with something else for sure

Worked good. arrived as described

Wanted these to really work for my U818A Wifi FPV drone. Although as others have mentioned, the install of the assembly(s) is a correct fit (my LED's were colored ok-2 blue. 2 red). Unfortunently the motors instanly overheat, to hot to touch (verified temp with inferred laser thermometer), Also and most importantly my battery flight time droped from nearly 8-9 min, to 1:09 min (approx) before stopping. Wires connecting to battery (and batteries themselves) were very very hot. Clear indication of drawing to much current. The 1 min of flight time i was getting, power to drone was not smooth and controllable. I verified conditions by reinstalling my original motor assemblies, no issues (much cooler and batteries were timed at nearly 8-9 min). Returned for refund. Packaging and delievery were great.

The package arrived with parts as described. I'm a bit bummed that both of the lights on each of the motors of the like direction have the same colored light. So, you go from having 2 blue lights in front and 2 red in back, to 1 of each color in front and back. This makes it a bit confusing when the copter is overhead and you can't tell which end is forward. After coming back and rereading the description, it indicates exactly what was packaged. If this could be repackaged to contain 1 red and 1 blue anticlockwise, and 1 red and 1 blue clockwise, this would be an awesome package worthy of 5 stars.
