It made the job so much easier.
If you're looking at this you know you need one. I replaced the door seal off my front loading washer, and if I would have gone without this tool , I might have taken my sludge hammer to the washer lol. This piler is good and solid. Grip is comfortable. Got the job done and made it easy.

Worked for my LG Washer, but with some caveats
I decided to remove and replace the front gasket on my LG washer as was getting pretty gross after 10 years. I looked at some YouTube video's and decided to jump in. There is an LG tool that is used to remove and install the inner and outer clamp rings the hold the gasket. LG want's nearly $90 for the tool. Probably a must have if you repair appliances for a living. I saw these style tools from several sellers at a much more reasonable price and decided to order one. The tool itself seems well made, but it is significantly different from the LG tool. The LG tool was designed to allow for installation of the inner spring clamp by grabbing a special hole in the clamp and expanding the spring to pop over a hook to latch in place. As you squeeze the tool the two tongs are brought together to force the spring end onto the hook. This tool operates in reverse. As you squeeze, it expands. It works great to remove and install the outer spring clamp, just put the two tongs into each of the spring loops and squeeze the handle to expand the spring and the ring clamp pops right off. The inner clamp is a different story. Since this tool works by expanding the spring, you have to operate it in that manner and is not easy to use. Some videos show installing clamps place without resorting to removing the front of the washer. There is not much room to work and this tool makes the job even harder. After trying quite a few times, I gave up and removed the front of the washer. This involves removing the top and the control panel. Even more work in my case as the washer and dryer are stacked and not easy to access. Still, it turned out its not that difficult and you have much better access to the inner clamp such that I had no trouble using the tool to re-hook the inner clamp. If you are more dexterous than me, you may be able to avoid removing the door, but I would recommend doing so. I would have given the tool 5 stars if it operated exactly like the LG tool, but for the price, its a great value.

Works For The Task
Decent tool that was perfect for the task of handling my washer boot spring. Inexpensive enough that it will be added to my toolbox for any future similar tasks.

Best tool in the toolbox.
This little tool saved us hundreds of dollars on a washing machine repair! My husband is moderately handy, but in no means a handyman by profession. The pump in our LG front loader washer needed to be replaced, but we had to tear the washing machine apart piece by piece to reach the pump. He watched several YouTube videos, and this tool was recommended to remove the ring/gasket. He had never done this before, but he was able to loosen and remove the spring that secures the ring in a few minutes without damaging the ring--and put it back on! He did this several months ago, and we've had zero leakage. So thankful to have found this tool!

Great tool for one of the springs but not the other one
Tool works great for the front spring. However, the back spring is different and the tool does not work. It does not expand enough and even if it did, the back spring is a hook so you will have to figure out a different method of taking it off and putting it back on. I am sure this tool works for most washers, but my LG washer must have a unique spring set up.
