Karinear 30 Inch Electric Cooktop 30 Inch 5 Burners Electric Stove Ceramic Cooktop, Drop-in Radiant Stovetop with Front and Back Metal Frame, Lock, Timer, 8400W, 220-240V, Hard Wire, No Plug

We had to replace our old cooktop due to a severe thunderstorm. A tree on the main road bounce multiple times off power lines causing high voltage surges that fried the cooktop's electronics. We went to the area stores that sell appliances and none of the stores stocked the cooktops. Most of the stores we would have to order and wait 10 days for delivery. So we took a chance and ordered from Amazon. The Karinear cooktop was more than $300 less than the store brands. The cooktop arrived 3 days after ordering. The packaging was sound and there were no issues with the delivery. The cooktop installation was simple with no issues. As long as your counter top opening is parallel to the backsplash and has at least 3/16" on all sides it will be a simple drop-in and the sideclips on the cooktop will hold it in place. The low height off the cooktop allowed me to place a standard cabinet with a drawer with no modifications. The co cooktop's additional burner is great if you need a very large kettle to straddle two burners to boil water for bottling preserves. We have been using the cooktop for 3 months and had three similar issues with trees bouncing off the power lines creating surges. We have had no issues and are happy with the purchase.

Update 6/25: After a year and 8 months, the second stove had its rightmost upper corner out of service. I contacted the manufacturer, and I got a new replacement stove within a few days. The product manufacturer 5 year warranty is very well. the customer support from Karinear is excellent. The company is not only selling a good product but also standing behind its product. I recommend to buy this Karinear stove. ===== End of update ========= The item is the second item that I purchased. The first one had a crack in the glass after over one year usage, it is due to my maintenance error (cleaning with cold damp tower while the store surface was hot). Pros: * Nice contemporary looking. * Provide good power for cooking. * Easy to clean. Tips: Using lock funtion before cleaning surface to avoid activating other touch button. Never clean when surface is hot, this can crack the glass surface. Cons: * The provided power is not very strong for extreme hot cooking; howver, it should be enough for the normal cooking. Anyway, my cracked glass stove will be used as a spare part unit In summary, I am happy with this stove purchase

1. The correct minimum width cutout size is 29.15” (not 28.38”). I had to buy a grinder & granite blade to widen my existing cutout (and you would not believe the dust/mess that covered every surface of my entire home! Clean-up was HUGE, so be sure to close off the area if you have to trim granite). 2. The ad says that any kind of pans can be used but the owners manual says to avoid curved bottom pans. 3. On on cooktop I saw a review that said the burners could be turned on too easily, but this one you have to press & hold the unlock button for a few seconds before it will unlock & allow a burner to be turned on. 4. The burners heat up quickly, but pasta doesn’t seem to cook as quickly as my previous electric coil cooktop. 5. The “hot” warning stays on way beyond the actual time it takes to cool, which is a little annoying. 6. I thought cleaning would be easy, but when a bit of food was dropped on a hot burner, cleaning spray wasn’t enough, I had to use a razor blade scraper to get it off completely! 7. It does look nicer than my old cooktop & with the exception of widening the cutout, installation was easy without experience or help. Just be sure to turn off the breaker first!!

Product arrived quickly and packaged very well. Super quick and easy to install. Lots of heating options for all my pot sizes. Touch screen very simple and easy to figure out. Love the child safety feature. No knobs makes cleanup very quick and no grime under the knobs!!! So far so good!

Initially I was impressed overall with this stovetop replacement even though many had commented it did not last them long. I decided to take a chance. Well I purchased July 8th 2022 and it indeed died April 11th 2024. No warning, just quit with some momentary flashing lights and then nothing. Panel was fine and oven worked normally only after removing the stovetop from the circuit. I suggest you look further in your search for a replacement when, not if, you have to change it out.

Pedí que alguien me la instalara, fue muy complicado para mí hacerlo. Pero funciona súper, llevo usándola 6 meses sin problema. A veces se pone el candado solo pero solo tienes que sostener el dedo sobre el icono de “candado” unos segundos y se desbloquea.

Se ve que es de buena calidad. Utiliza corriete 220 v cuenta con 4 quemadores, dos grandes de 1,400 voltios y 2 medianos de 1,200 v. El consumo de energia es razonable: un quemador grande prendido 1 hora continua, utiliza 1.4kw Para saber el costo de energia, multiplica 1.4kw por el costo de Kw de tu zona.
