It's good. I'm not sure if it really insulates I used it this summer and my ice water still seemed to warm up quickly. I really do like the bite-valve technology it is easy to get water during workouts no unscrewing of caps or pulling nozzles. I have dropped it several times and it has not cracked but it is scratched up. One time I dropped it and the bite-valve bent, now it is a little crooked and leaks more. It is very easy to clean I just fill it up with diluted bleach water and let the straw and bite-valve sit at the bottom. The bite-valve can get very nasty if it is not cleaned often. I will keep this. On a side note about the color it does not look neon purple like the picture it is more of a hot pink.

Like it, but not loving it.
I got the insulated cup for two reasons: I didn't want to have sweat on the bottle when it had something cold, and I wanted my drink colder longer. The blasted thing is so addictive to drink from, that I'm usually guzzling the entire beverage before it has a chance to get warmer. No sweat on the bottle, however. The best thing about the Camelback bottles is the mouthpiece. You can gnaw on that thing, and it retains shape with minimal wear. It's great to drink from. When you have to replace the tips, they're in a pack of 3 for like, $7 and you get another straw or two as well.I wish the bottle had more litres, because I drink from it quickly. That's the drawback. There's one. If I had to buy another one, I'd probably go with the metal body so I could use hotter liquids. Hot liquids are not recommended for the plastic bodies.

Helps me keep up my water intake
I bought this almost a year ago after seeing my friend's Camelbak. I needed something that wouldn't spill and could be clipped to my purse/diaper bag.Pros:-It does help to keep my water cool for a bit longer than it would.-The bite valve makes it easy to drink virtually hands free.-Decent priceCons:-Because it's insulated the part that actually has water is smaller and I tend to need a refill quick.-The bottle itself is not dishwasher safe (though everything else is) and must be washed by hand. The width is narrow so I have to use a brush to clean it thoroughly.-After less than a year the hinge on the flip straw has broken in one spot. I can still use it but it's crooked and doesn't fit as well when closed. I have contacted the company because their site says they can replace defective pieces.

Good but there is another Camelbak item WAY BETTER
I have a camelbak Eddie, the stainless steel version, CamelBak 0.75- Liter Stainless Steel Better Bottle and i bought this Camelbak because my wife could not keep her hands of mine. I asked her if she wanted the same one as mine and she said "I would not buy a Sippy cup fos 26 bucks" so she decided to go with the plastic version of it. In terms of spill proof, both are equal. This one can hold a bit more than the steel one, and also it's a litte bit ligther. The only downside i can think of is that the Steel one keeps ice water cold for almost 12 hours and it does not sweat (Condense) on the outside. On the other hand this model can keep your water cold for about 5 hours, an it does condense on the outside leaving a round watermark on your nightstand. So do yourself a favor, buy the stainless steel version.

Love this bottle!
I mean, it IS just a water bottle, but there are several things I like about it. First of all, I like the "handle". At first I thought it kind of got in the way, but now I really like it. I have three kids, so I can hook one bottle on each finger and we're off! It's also nice to be able to use a clip to attach it to a backpack or bag. The next thing I like is it's ability to keep water in the bottle and not leak. When the mouthpiece is closed I have not had any leakage. With the mouthpiece open a few drops will come out if it is held upside-down. Finally, this bottle is durable! The first day I had it, I filled it with ice and water, headed outside and promptly dropped it on the sidewalk. I cursed loudly as I imagined my somewhat expensive water bottle had just turned to garbage. I was delighted to find that it not only wasn't cracked, I didn't even see a scratch! It has gotten some scratches and scuffs over time, but even my son dropping it off the roof onto the deck didn't crack it.

Increased my water intake
This bottle is a dream. I used to drink very little water a day. With this bottle and Crystal Light, I now reach my optimal level of daily water intake. I always had a thirst spot in the back of my throat that normal drinking from a cup style could not quench, so all that really happened being bloated with water but still feeling thirsty. This bite and suck method reaches that spot AND for an odd reason makes me feel like a little kid again, drinking from a bottle. It is a very comforting feeling which I did not expect as a by product at all. This does not sweat, so its safe to leave on wooden counter tops like bed stands without worrying about water rings. It keeps the water cold but like another reviewer said, I'm drinking so fast it doesn't have a chance to warm up. One thing I love is how my hands do not hurt holding it from the coldness of the drink because of the great insulation.I will be getting more of these.06/11/12 - Unfortunately, I have discovered that this bottle does indeed leak like other reviewers have said. The only reason I keep it is because it keeps my water cold longer in hot yoga class due to its insulation.

Why did this get good reviews?
I bought this water bottle to be on my nightstand because my cat likes to drink out of my water glasses when he isn't knocking them over. Also I thought it would give me cold water all night long.Pro: it didn't sweat.Con: it didn't keep the water cold. I filled it with ice and water, brought it to the bedroom. Two hours later the ice was all melted and the water is cool at best. I can't imagine what it would be like on a hot day.I also don't like having to bite the mouth piece to get water and even after giving it a thorough washing, the rubber still has a weird taste.Wish it wasn't too late to return it. Waste of money.

Dissapointed
I bought this bottle so that I could easily keep drinking water in the car. For the first week it was great, I increased my water intake by at least 600ml every day just by keeping the bottle on my lap while driving then drinking whenever I stopped at traffic lights etc. However, after about a week it started leaking really badly from the the threads of the cap. I realise that the label warns that these bottle are not "leak proof" and should be kept up-right, but I assumed this meant that water may leak from the bite valve - this would have been acceptable since only a limited amount of water would be held (and therefore leak from) within the valve/staw. So in the the first week I often kept it on its side (in my bag or on my lap) and there was no problem. However, leaking from the threads means the entire contents may flow out. The first time it leaked in my bag, I estimate at least 100ml was empted into my bag (over the space of several hours), competely soaking everything inside. At this point the bottle became useless to me - the size of the bottle is far too wide to fit in my car cup holders (I assume American cars have larger holders)so there is no way of keeping this bottle competely up-right within my car. After seaching online, I found out that this is a common problem with camelbak bottles. Surely if manufacturers of cheap disposable bottles can create a leak proof lid, Camelbak could design one for an £18 bottle? After much searching online, I came across a reviewer that suggested putting an elastic band around the bottom thread of the cap before screwing on...it works! Well, so long as you take the time to ensure it is properly fitted etc...it is still inconvenient that I have to take time to fit the band and test it out for a few minutes every day before I can put it in my bag/car..so I dont use it as much as I did in the beginning. On the up-side, it looks great!
