I purchased this two years ago, and it’s still performing just as well as it did on day one. The build quality is excellent—it feels great in hand, is quite lightweight, and despite the flat profile, it’s very comfortable for writing. It attaches securely to the underside of the Surface Laptop Studio via strong magnets, which also provide wireless charging for the pen; otherwise, a separate charger is required. The haptic feedback enhances the experience, making it even more enjoyable to use. While it works very well overall, it’s not quite as precise for sketching as the Apple Pencil.

Does what it says on the box, and it works well with my Surface Pro. The price can vary quite a lot on Amazon, so I waited for a sale and picked it up at a great price. I'm very happy with my purchase.

I ordered this surface pen to use with my new Surface 9 tablet. I dithered about my purchase due to the price, however finally gave in and ordered. My surface pro 9 immediately recognised the pen and required no setting up at all. The pen fits into the surface pro type cover and wirelessly charges. The pen has two buttons, one on the top and the other on the side of the pen. You ca programme the top to perform different functions or open particular apps. The pen is alomst flat to hold, so does take some getting used to compared to standard round styluses that i am used too. handwriting and drawing recognition worked great, again no lag and the pressure sensativity worked very well. If you need a genuine stylus for your surface pro then this is the product to consider.

Combined with the Pro 8 or Laptop Studio, the surface slim pen 2 feels like writing on paper. The incredibly low latency, accuracy of the fine tip and the haptic feedback in supported apps make it feel like a pen or pencil writing onto paper. This smoothness has allowed me to use the surface pro 8 like any sheet of paper, something I struggled to do with the older surface pen paired with the tablet.

First off, some of the packaging was a bit scrappy (but I thought whatever because it’s second-hand, as long as the pen works it’s okay). But the pen was definitely NOT ‘like new’. The pen nib is absolutely battered, rough, and looks like it’s been chewed on. Not to mention the pen does not work, because of the nib (rubber function works, but I can’t write). Now I’m either going to have to spend an extra £12 for a new Slim Pen nib, or return the product.
