E-outstanding 2PCS R7S Ceramics Lamp Base Socket Lamp Holder Conveter Connector For T3 Halogen Light Bulb, 118mm

I have an Alltrade Floor Lamp with two T3 300 watt halogen bulbs. One of the bulbs had been flickering until it went out completely last Wednesday. I found one end of the bulb was broken. I replaced it with a new bulb but it wouldn't turn on. I measured the voltage at the socket connector ends and saw 120 volts. I inspected the ends and saw they were corroded. I ordered these porcelain sockets from Amazon using the Prime Next Day Delivery option. The package arrived Thursday and I picked it up Friday morning. I began replacing the socket about 7 am. I removed the good bulb and the aluminum reflector. Next I removed the screw holding the bad socket to the bracket. I then removed the two screws holding the housing cover and unscrewed the two wire caps connecting the two wires of the bad socket to the switch and 120 volts. I then twisted the new wires to the existing wires and screwed the wire caps back on. I had to use a longer 8-32 screw to fasten the new porcelain socket to the bracket. I put the aluminum reflector back on and screwed it in. Both bulbs are now working again and I can use my lamp to provide light when working on projects.The porcelain socket itself appears to be well made and should last for years to come. The new socket wires were the same length as the original wires of the bad socket. The original socket wires had heat resistant covers over them and I went ahead and reused them over the new socket wires.

Bought this to repair a large worklight on stands that I purchased at the GoodWill for like $15. So I have a really nice setup for very little money.

One of the two in the package arrived broken. As I only really needed one, it wasn't a big deal.

The light bulb in my old halogen work light shorted out, melted in the old holder and it disintegrated when I tried to clean it out. This kit fixed my old lamp and after I cleaned it up inside and out, it actually looks and works like a brand new unit. I like to use the old halogen lamps especially in the winter to help keep space warm wile working in garage or construction site. My only issue is I wish the wires coming off the holder was about an inch longer.

I love these. Easy swap to go from incandesent/LED to super bright halogen or as a replacement for an existing lamp. Just check the measurements to ensure proper fit.

these exceed my expectations. the metal joiner is heavy duty, the wire pig tails seem rated for heat and the engineering for mounting is clearly thought out. good job!
