Journey 2: The Mysterious Island [Blu-ray]

Absolutely love this movie and it came in perfect condition and shipped fast.

We watched this movie with our 5 year old and 3 year old and we all enjoyed it. The story line was entertaining and exciting which kept our kids intrigued throughout the while movie. The characters are relatable and it shows different family dynamics that are entertaining. Our kids also really enjoyed the scenes with the giant animals such as bees and lizards. And us as parents were thoroughly entertained too and it kept our interest during the whole movie. If your looking for a funny, entertaining and exciting movie that all ages can enjoy this would be a perfect movie.

My while family really enjoyed this movie. The 3D is pretty good with some really nice pop out moments, especially when Vanessa grabs the journal from Nemos hands, made all of us jump! There isn't as many pop outs as the first movie, but definitely lives up to it's name. As far the movie goes, we all enjoyed it. There were plenty of funny moments and lots of action. It held the attention of my 8 and 5 year old daughters. I think movie wise this is on part with the first film, and it setups up a couple possibilities for a third, which I would look forward to if they bring back Josh, Vanessa and Rock, it would also be nice to have Brendan back also. Overall I say check this one out, especially in 3D if you can!

Ein Abenteuerfilm mit Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson?? Nur her damit!!! Ich wurde nicht enttäuscht! Die Blu-Ray bietet ein kristallklares, superscharfes Bild - eine Grundvoraussetzung bei dieser Traumhaften "Inselkulisse". Der Film bietet runde 90min Abenteuer, Action, Humor, Spannung, eine Prise Gefühl...ohne auch nur eine Sekunde langweilig zu sein. Wer hier, wie in vorigen Rezensionen geschehen, Realismus erwartet, der liegt mit diesem Film falsch! (Bei Avatar hat auch kein Mensch nach Realismus geschrien, oder?) Ich habe mit diesem Film ca. 1,5 Stunden alles Andere vergessen und wurde bestens unterhalten - von einer zugegebenermaßen simplen Story, absolut sympathischen Darstellern, einer fantastischen Kulisse und tollen Effekten - mehr kann man nicht erwarten!!! Kauftipp!!

I must say, I was in two minds wether to give this film a chance as it did seem to me like a second rate money spinning sequal on paper. The only returning actor from the first film is Josh Hutcherson and this again made me think it wasn't going to be great. I did eventually give in to my son who kept nagging me to take him to see it, we saw it in 3D. I really couldn't have been more wrong, the film was absolutely fantastic, I didn't miss Brendan Fraser at all and Dwayne 'The rock' Johnson who I don't normally like was great as Sean's(Josh Hutcherson) stepdad and Michael Caine as his grandad brought plenty of humour to the mix. The story was an exciting adventure based on the Jules Verne novel of the same name,Sean and his stepdad, along with a tour guide and his daughter travel to a pacific island in search of his grandfather who hasn't been heard from in a while. Along the way they come across a hurricane, tiny elephants,a giant lizard and a gold erupting volcano among other things. once they find him, they have to get off the island before time runs out and the island sinks into the sea. The cinematography and effects are breathtaking, it is the best film I have seen in 3D and I can't wait to watch it again. I have ordered the Blu-ray as I think it's worth paying for the better picture quality with a film like this, I just hope they make a third !
