A very high quality hand held mixer. Does the job perfectly. Worth paying extra for.

just what was wanted

I purchased this from Amazon due to the buyer protection and free delivery. I wish now that I had paid the same price and bought it directly from SMEG, or a high-end retailer. As soon as I opened the poorly protected package I saw on the invoice, in very large print, advice to report any missing parts within 24 hours. Sure enough, the Optimus beaters were missing. The supplier offered me a discount to keep the item as they don’t hold spares. The only place I could buy them from, very reluctantly, was Temu. The item itself is a sleek, contemporary design, with a lovely appearance, as you would expect from SMEG. The turbo function and 9 speeds give excellent flexibility. The two types of beaters, with written guidelines for use, allows the user to have solid control over the preparation of your dish. Highly recommended.

Good VFM

This was a good looking sturdy device that worked very well, but only when you could insert the attachments. I had to return my model as the left port only accepted attachments intermittently and could not be relied on. Also note that standing, it was stable in one direction but liable to fall sideways. Cable storage was simply by a rubber tie around cable.
