Perfect replacement for my previous power port
After replacing a battery in my computer, I had apparently damaged the power port. Replacing the battery in Dell Inspiron laptop requires removal of the back panel. Damage to the port resulted in my power supply shorting out whenever I plugged it in. This also meant I couldn't charge my battery. I purchased this replacement part to see if the power port was indeed the issue. It is somewhat difficult to remove the power port and cord, but I was able to accomplish that and this replacement part fit in perfectly. After closing the computer back up the power supply no longer shorted out and the battery was charging. I recommend this replacment part.

Genuine OEM Part
I do freelance IT on the side. My main career industry is IT and I've worked in that realm for over 10 years now. When my friend's son destroyed their power port (see pictures) the hunt began to find a OEM part. Much like most components these days, once the product goes end of life, components become a little challenging to find. Thankfully I was able to run across this seller and get this replacement cable, not once, but twice now. It has worked perfectly in both instances. For context, their son destroyed the power port twice, and he is not allowed to touch the laptop anymore. TLDR: Genuine OEM part that works :)
