My First Sikh Books [Parveen Kaur Dhillon] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. My First Sikh Books Review: Wonderful books. My 2 year old loves both - Wonderful books. My 2 year old loves both, as do I. Easy to relate to - my son points to the aunty and says "nani". We are Sikh, but cut his hair, so I want to make sure he gets lots of exposure to sikh images with kids with uncut hair. Review: One of the rare books for Sikh kids - A job well done. Kids find it interesting. I wanted to hold back one star for the high price of this book but since they are not many publishers who cater in this genre, I would give full marks (but a little lesser price would still be appreciated.)

I bought these for my biracial son because representation is very important. Especially since there isn't a lot of positive representation in American media. I would definitely recommend these for every Sikh child to have in their personal library. I think the coloring books are a nice addition and the informational pamphlet is good for anyone who isn't familiar with the Sikh religion. The only reason these books did not get a full five stars is because the books are only in English. There is no Gurmurkhi script or even any Romanized text version of Punjabi.

A must have for every Sikh child
These books are a must for every Sikh child's bedside or bookshelf. Sikh children can easily identify with the characters and feel proud of who they are. And this book set makes an excellent gift for any family who might not have their own yet!. We have read these books aloud in our son's preschool and they are very well received by all audiences. A note to the author - please keep producing more books! Everyone loves them!

I bought it as a gift for my niece and she could instantly relate herself to his character depicted. Only feedback would be to include more matter in it. It is too brief but still a great effort. Would love to see more of these.

Bought this book for my son 6 and daughter 3. Both adored this book and made connections to the characters immediately. My son read the book to himself after we read it together. A very well put together book with a strong message. Parveen please make more books like this for our community!!!
