Perfect compement to Strength Training Anatomy
Book is very comprehensive. Descriptions of exercises are concise and easy to understand. Variations of each exercise are usually given too. Best part is the illustrations which are clear. Not only illustrations of the exercises, but also of which muscles (by name) are being worked by that particular exercise. Get the Strength Training Anatomy book too and you will have everthing you need (though there is some overlap in the two books.

Another Good One For Delavier
This is my third Delavier book, the others being Vols. I & III of Strength Training Anatomy. Both of those books were extremely helpful in isolating muscle groups and pointing out specific exercises to improve those individual groups. "Core Training" is also very instructive and of substantial benefit in noting areas that need isolated emphasis, although I felt the book was less important than the Strength Training predecessors. I gave it four stars, although it's probably worth 4.5, and well worth the price and the addition to one's armamentarium, but nevertheless slightly less than the top step. Ralph L. Good book, LOTS of helpful pictures.
This book only tell you how to do ur abs in type words, it also has pictures. Very easy to understand what u r doing. It starts letting you know what the basic stuff about abs, something like the type of fat around ur abs, blah blah blah. And then once you know what kind of body type u have, then you can find your body type of abs workout. It has a lot to offer, I highly recommend this book, it's very helpful.

I brought this as I suffer with a bad lower back and a physio said I needed to strengthen my core to help with this. So brought this to help know what exercises I need to do and correct form so I don't hurt myself. This book is very clear and alot of detailed illustrations. I would recommend this for anyone looking for more knowledge and begginers for training in or out of the gym.
