I bought the TabTime Big Button TV Remote and I’m quite pleased with it. The design is very simple and works exactly as advertised: it has seven large, clearly labeled buttons that cover all the essential functions, power on/off, volume up/down, channel up/down, mute, so you don’t get overwhelmed with unnecessary extras. Only needed this for the power and volume, so much more user-friendly than a load of unnecessary buttons on a remote. Setup was straightforward: the remote uses infrared and learns the controls from your existing remote. Functionally, it works reliably with my TV, the buttons respond correctly and the large button layout makes using the remote comfortable and intuitive, even for people who struggle with small buttons or complicated remotes. Given the price, it offers very good value. If you want a no-frills, easy-to-use replacement remote, especially suitable for elderly users, people with limited dexterity or anyone who dislikes modern over-complicated remotes, this is a solid choice that I'd highly recommend.

Caring for a 93 year old Mum. It became clear that Mum could not see the buttons on her normal remote. And she was confused by all the channels. Got her a new, larger tv. That allowed me to set up a favourites list of channels, just BBC1, BBC 2, ITV1 and Channel 4. All other channels are hidden. I programmed the remote as you would expect, but with the spare black button, top right, programmed as the number 1, which gets her direct to BBC 1. She now has a very simple setup which she understands and can control. It was lovely to see her feeling in control and not frustrated.

Disappointed as write up says works with most T, V, s but purchased a top brand T, V but would not work with it at my brothers TV who has Dimentia.

My dad has extreme confusion and is in a nursing home. He got to the point where he could barely watch his beloved TV as the remote control had to many buttons and was far to confusing for him - it made him very frustrated. This remote was soooooo easy to set up using the video that the seller kindly sent me. Dad is now sooooo happy that he can go through his TV channels with no fear of pressing the wrong button. All dad needed was a button for channel up and down and volume and this remote has exactly that. The extra button which can be tuned to any button from the original remote is a great idea. I tuned it to Channel 1 so when dad gets to channel 75, for example, he can easily go back to channel 1. With my dad becoming suddenly ill like this and our family being so inexperienced with this illness, I think there should be a whole catalogue advertising similar gadgets for elderly people- maybe placed in nursing homes for relatives. There you go “Tab Time”- a new marketing idea Just don’t forget my share of the profits you make!!!!!!

Just wanted to say how impressed I am with the remote controller. I needed something to simplify the control of a television and set top box for my 89 years old mother. Her current controllers have a myriad of buttons that confuse her and lead to a loss of picture. This replacement, simplified controller is a Godsend. Firstly, it is honestly so simple to program that it just takes a couple of minutes. Also, and the thing I love the most is you can program numerous existing controllers onto this single device. Brilliant! So, if you like my mum use one controller to change channel but another to change volume, because it works faster, this is for you. Finally, seven buttons prevents ending up in menus that confuse and mess up the television.

This is SO easy to program and works a treat. I would advise (as I did) to get a friend and one read the instructions whilst one completes them on the remote. The remote times out after a few seconds and its difficult to read and do as the same time. Once programmed exactly as described in the instructions it works a treat. Its so easy for my relative rather than mountains of buttons and she is so happy with it.

The best bits.. just a few large buttons on the remote for changing the volume and the TV stations! Perfect just whats required and makes the remote easy to operate. The worst bits... I could not get it to synch with the channel up and down buttons with two separate Virgin Media remotes for my Virgin remote and my mums (video attached - see how it rapidly pulsates when I programme the volume up and down buttons, but nothing when I attempt to program the channel change up/down buttons). Also holding the volume up/down buttons did not automatically increase or decrease the volume with the tv for me. I had to press the buttons repeatedly to get the volume to increase and decrease.

Ich habe diese Fernbedienung für meinen 90-jährigen Vater gekauft. Dank der Videoanleitung ließ sie sich schnell und einfach programmieren und funktioniert einwandfrei. Jetzt kann mein Vater wieder selbstständig die TV-Kanäle wechseln, was ihm sehr wichtig ist. Wie lange hält kann momentan nicht bewerten aber ich hoffe länger. 👍

This worked great. I was able to program the channel buttons to work the cable box, but the volume buttons to work the TV. This circumvents so much confusion for my elderly mother!
