Well I didn't receive the one I ordered, but that's okay. I ordered the one with two remotes and just got one. Anyhow this item works great. Love the fact that it has two outlets for other things as well. Definitely recommend.

I needed something to turn on a lamp in my basement before I had a switch installed. Even though I now have a switch at the steps, it’s easier to use this at the steps and the other one on a table after I go down. And vice versa. Easy to install at site of the plug. Highly recommend. No problems, I’m giving this 5 stars.

This remote controlled switch works really good at through walls. The 2 side outlets are very handy to keep cords or night light fixtures close to the wall. The rest of this review is useless to everyone except those who want to hear about "Mickey Mouse" fixes! I needed a indicator light in my house that would tell me if my garage door was open since I left it open one night. I wanted to see no indicator light if the door was closed. I searched but could not find a remote controlled switch to meet my needs. So I took apart the remote for this device and soldered wires to each side of each button switch (on and off buttons). I ran the wires to magnetic actuated reed switches, like those used in burglar alarms, which were placed about 10" apart on the wall next to the side of the garage door. I put a magnet below the switches on the side of the garage door. When the garage door goes up it actuates the off button (light is already off) then as the door rises a bit it actuates the ON button which turns on the light in the house. When the door goes down it actuates the ON button (the light is already on) then actuates the OFF button, which turns off the light as the door closes. Sounds stupid but it works.

I bought the first set for an elderly man I take care of so that he could turn the light off and on at night. I hung it on a lanyard around his bedpost so it's close buy. I bought the 2nd one for bedside lamp. It's difficult to find the off on switch at night and this is easier. I bought this one for my BF to use on his nightstand. Makes it easy to flip the light on for a quick moment to fill his CPAP at night before going to sleep.

Dewenwils remote control is an excellent product concept but a remote transmitter failure left this product useless after 22 days of use. Amazon's automated system made seeking a remedy to the component failure difficult once the 30 day period from shipment had occured, but the manufaturer read my negative review and immediately offered to provide me with a repalcement transmitter. They shipped me the replacement immediately and it has worked flawlessly for the past 7 days. Thank you Dewenwil's for going the extra mile and standing behind your product.

I use this in my bedroom for a floor lamp with a difficult to get at switch. I stole it to use in the living room last year for the Christmas tree lights. Not giving it up for the tree again this year, got a second one to use!

We have a large fan in our bedroom. Only my husband had the remote to turn it off and on. This 2 remote plug allows me to have a remote to turn off the fan myself before I get out of bed!
