My sister and I chose this beautiful urn for our Mom. It is a gorgeous box and it brings a smile to my face when I walk by it. The mahogany color matches the room perfectly. We had her name engraved on the gold plate and it's perfect. Continue to rest well my Angel. I love and miss you!

I love this. My husband was a great woodworker. This is a treasure box to me.

The description noted it could hold the original box from the funeral home but it didn't. Outside dimensions were very large and led me to believe this but the inside is heavily padded. Why are the inside dimensions not listed? That's what counts! Additionally, one of the tiny screws was stripped and I had to use an alternative tool to remove it to remove the thin, cheaply made bottom, which I'm wondering would hold a box of ashes. The box is pretty, but I wouldn't say its worth the price.

This box is beautiful with lovely finish and wood grain. The problem I have which may not apply to others is that the wood is so dark you can’t see its beauty except in strong light. I’d buy again for quality but would pick lighter shade wood. The opening for the ashes is secure and well done. Real quality work. It held ashes for 120 lbs with some room to spare. I picked it partly because it had the smallest footprint so consider that when deciding which of the Chateau boxes to purchase for your loved one
