Nearly the perfect toaster, but falls short on several counts
I thought for a little while this was THE toaster at last! After a lifetime of seeking the perfect toaster maybe this was the one! But no, there are several failings, each not amounting to a disaster, but combined they make something far from perfect! It is a good toaster, no doubt about that, as toasters go; it’s probably the best I’ve owned. It looks lovely, sleek and shiny, all black and chrome (I believe it’s also available in bright red). It’s quite robustly built, and pleasingly designed, but the thing that immediately catches the eye is its length, quite remarkably long for such an appliance. It really is a four slice toaster, but I purchased it to accommodate bloomers! The controls; Cancel which is illuminated whilst the toaster is under power, Repeat and Defrost, are fairly obvious and sensibly positioned all at one end, so the toaster can be positioned ‘end on’ on the kitchen worktop. Sadly the crumb tray opens at the opposite end, which with my layout means the toaster has to be dragged from its position to attend to the crumbs. Luckily this doesn’t have to be done every time it’s used. The heating elements inside seem to be arranged somewhat haphazardly, and not remotely evenly. This is reflected in the vaguely uneven toasting it produces, but it’s not a point loser. What is a point loser is the relatively small length of cable. Why oh why can’t manufacturers give the poor consumer some choice about where appliances can be positioned with a more generous length of cable. Strangely it exits the machine (from underneath), at the bottom right of the control panel end of the toaster, or, looked at another way, from the front left of the long facing side. This means you’ve already lost valuable inches of cable length in getting the cable to the rear of the machine, much less to an available wall socket.I my own case I’m going to have to go to the trouble of extending the cable to use the toaster where I want to, which means any warranty is immediately void. And I only needed another foot of cable to be home and dry.It toasts well, but very unevenly, an unevenness which extends to either side. One side will be nicely toasted, whilst the other barely touched. Invariably I’m tending to flip the bread over and redo to try and ensure even toast. This is an inconvenience which should not really need to be faced. But the biggest point loser; while one can use a bloomer type of slice with ease lengthwise, the top inch or so will remain untoasted. And bloomers are renowned for their length, not their height. What this toaster gives you in generous length; it takes away in lack of height! But, credit where it's due, the toaster can not only accommodate crumpets, but it toasts them to near perfection!

As per most toasters. They try.
Hi , this toaster is the same as any toaster I have bought in the past, it toasts BUT like the rest it toasts every side to different levels i.e. you can't put toast on and walk away, the toaster gets very hot so be very carefull when little or even big hands around. In addition mine only needs to be on setting 2 and I like my toast dark not light so watch it. Would I recommend it. Yes. In my opinion it's the same as most out there and we like the style and colour and that all the usual breakfast items fit. BUT not Warburton, but do any of the others

Great value for money .
This is a great product , the only thing I could say negative about it is make sure you use it on a low setting , I used 2 and it was perfect , anything higher and your toast will be well done .

Debateable
First time of using only toasted on one side. Other 2 people in the household used it and sadly same thing. The crumb tray is easy to get outand in, a good point. It looks good but a little different useing it longways rather than sideways.

Only doing one side of the toast
I have to keep ejecting and turning the bread so both sides get toasted and has done this since day one. I kept it because I just wanted a toaster that did long slices of bread.

If you aren’t too fuzzy it does the job admirably.
It’s toaster and it makes toast. Enough said.

Incinerates bread
The simplest appliance in the kitchen and 99% of manufacturers can't get it right. It boggles the mind.Good:It's a very nice looking toaster long and wide slots. It will toast 100% rye bread fast, however, see below. The bad:The worst thing about this toaster is, on heating level one, it burns wheat and sourdough bread so it is useless for my purpose. The outer cover gets very hot on level one so I imagine on other levels it might be dangerous. The width and length of the slots are good but like most toasters they aren't deep enough. Conclusion:If you are only using it for 100% rye bread then it is actually quite a good toaster because 100% rye bread is very moist. For anything else skip this toaster.
