This Class of Cards is exceptional. (A comparison of Marquis & Odyssey)
This deck and the Odyssey look like they were designed as a set. They don't have the same art at all, but they have a very comparable quality to them. The number cards have been re-drawn, but are in the traditional style with larger numbers (no problem playing these without my glasses). The Courts have all custom art. While they are less traditional-looking than the Odysseys, the artist has included more of the familiar elements drawn in a new way. The Marquis includes more reds throughout the court cards than the Odyssey, plus they have a brown, a gold-tan, and a skintone, compared to the Odyssey being all shades of blue. The box has a metallicized version of the card backs, but the cards themselves do not have metallic inks. This is my only minor complaint, I wish the brown on the card backs was a little lighter in shade for increased contrast in the design. But it's a minor nit-pick. Compared with the Odyssey, I like different features of both of them. I think this one scores incrementally lower than the Marquis because of they contrast differential on the backs, but they are still #2 and #3 favorite decks -- and I paid more for my #1 than both these put together.

Great deck, design, quality, value. Color of red a little different.
These cards a beautiful! I have a preference for the standard black and red back numbers with a fun design on the backside. These are durable, nice looking, good feel, great value. I took off 1 star due to personal preference. The red on the numbers isn't the standard red (see photo). I prefer the brighter red. The picture with just a 5 and 8, the 8 is from this deck. It looks almost burgundy. The 5 is from a standard deck. It's much brighter. The photos I attached include this deck and a standard deck for comparison with the basic black and red numbers.

Beautiful!
Beautiful but the design makes the value of the cards 'faded' and more difficult to see.

Beautiful quality
I searched for hours to find these for a gift for my 5-Point Pitch master granddaughter. They are beautiful, high quality and so nice to play with.

Absolutely Beautiful
This is a beautiful deck. The red is an alizarin crimson instead of the usual fire engine red and the font is different. The face cards are all so unique and striking. Definitely recommend. I think I'll get some extras in case mine ever gets lost or damaged.
