There's a learning curve.
I of course didn't read the manual because I know more, apparently. I had a gargantuan mess... Don't use too much mix leave it turn off until you get the lid closed and then pour more. You also need to make sure your mix is pretty runny otherwise you'll have the mess that I had and your pancake will cook faster than you can pour your mix. As I said, there is a learning curve, don't plug it in until you have the lid closed and more mix poured on top. I started unplugged mine between pancakes because one side will burn if you take too long. Once you get used to it and a bit more brave maybe even read the manual like I DIDN'T it might work better. I'm going to give this a 4 because I think it would work well once you find the groove! It isn't horrible to clean but still kind of sucks.

way too much work for pancakes
i got this because it said i could make giant stuffed waffles, no proofreader i guess, in minutes. from the description it would seem that you simply pour batter and add filling and viola you're done. unfortunately there's so much extra work involved which is impossible to do in those previously mentioned minutes.what you actually have to do is basically pour the batter and wait while that cooks, then you open it up and add filling and close it up, then you attach a funnel to the top hole and pour just the right amount of batter in it and cook an additional several minutes while picking this hot hunk of metal up and swirling it around to coat the whole top side of this monstrosity. oh and they recommend you also take out this giant, semi cooked pancake and flip it over in the machine to cook the rest of the way!i don't know about you but none of that sounds quick or easy to me. also, the funnel where you pour batter in drips raw pancake mix on them as they cook leaving you with raw glops, yum.after using this i think ill stick with a regular waffle maker and top them with fresh fruit and other yummy stuff, its far easier and tastier in the end.

Dont bother
Definitely waste of money it seems great and exciting but too much work to make a pancake and too much work to clean it. You’re better off using the filling as toppings

Overpriced overhyped
I am typically easily satisfied with products. This was an absolute let down. It just doesn't work the way the directions say it should and it leaves the bottom of the pancake crispy no matter how quickly you flip it. I was sad this didn't work out. It doesn't even make normal pancakes properly.
