Crystal clear and a nice fit
These bags are really great. The one thing I will mention is that they are a tad over sized if you use top loader. Other than that they are perfect.

Best bags on the market!!
This is a great deal on modern books & boards...much cheaper than my LCS. These fit my books perfectly and help prevent against damage. BCW makes some of the highest quality comic protection products on the market...you can't go wrong here!! These are thicker than your standard bags, but you can feel the added protection. They hold the book tighter to prevent it from moving around and just have a better look to them. I keep my higher value books in these!

Buying Comic Book Bags 101
My bags arrived on time and as described. The difference between these Mylar bags and the normal Polypropelene bags is that the poly bags are plastic - they are degrading right before our eyes and have a limited life span of 4-7 years based on environmental conditions before they start to break down and release adics into your books. The Mylar is an inert substance which is 10 times stronger and has 10 times the lifespan, and is more expensive.Mylar Pros -StrongerLasts LongerNo need to re-bag all your books every 5 yearsHigh-Gloss - makes your comics look GREAT!Is the EXACT right size to work with current size comic toploaders (Poor mans CGC encasing)Cons -A tighter fit, less plyable.Greater care is required when bagging (Mylar can sheer a cover off a book)Cost is about 5 times that of Poly.

Clear and simple
I like the feel of the bags. The type of plastic does make images pop slightly more than the basic bags. I will be ordering more in the future.

Standard backing boards will not fit. A solid bag if you don't mind hand cutting to fit.
Edit- After using the boards more, they are growing on me. They definitely feel like they protect better then standard bags, and if you do not mind the extra work of hand cutting backing boards to fit, they are great. I have done this for 30 or so of my higher valued comics. But if your comics are $10 or less, stick to the convenience of regular bags & boards.Original review- Brought out my key valuable comics with the intention of upgrading the bagging to mylar. The biggest problem is backing boards will not fit in the bag, and all collectors know backing boards are a must. That right there is a deal breaker. The material is thin & flimsy where I was expecting a more sturdy bag. In the picture, the X-Men Giant Size I got way back in the early 80s was in a top loading very sturdy & thick mylar bag that I felt protected my valuable comic AND fit a backing board for further sturdiness. That bag has protected a few of my more valuable comics but I have not been able to find this type of bag over the last 35 years. My GI Joe 21, SpiderMan 238, Rom 1, Avengers 27, Conan 1 etc will need to stick to Ultra Pro Regular size bags as they fit backing boards. Since I cannot use these 2 Mil bags for valuable comics, I used them for my inexpensive Rom collection. I would Not recommend this item to comic collectors & if collectors have input on the top best way of protecting higher valued prized comic books, I would appreciate it.

Never going back to polypropylene!
These crystal-clear Mylar bags really bring out the cover art. After years of storage, poly bags tend to get cloudy and bubbly and need replacement. Mylar stays crisp and clear, and the plastic is much sturdier. They cost more than poly bags, but are well worth it.

For Serious Comic Book Collectors - the best protection available for archiving
Pricier than the poly bags, but worth the extra $$$ for your collection, especially for older valuable comics. Worth getting if you need to bag any pre-1990 comics and wish to retain their value.Has a little extra wiggle room vs today's poly bags, and feels sturdy. Basically - museum archival quality, as advertised.A necessity for any serious comic book collector.

The best bag there is
I have really begun to love these comic bags. Mylar is the only bag I will buy in the future. They are crystal clear, and do not degrade over time like other plastic comic book bag materials.
