Titanic light kit
This is a great kit, but I used a video on YouTube, just look up [briksmax titanic ] it has no sound but its really helpful to follow. Also my advice would be to record what you are taking apart from the titanic so it will be a quick reference for when you put it back together again. Also the little wires, it would be a good idea to put your finger on one end and slowly move your other finger down the wire to straighten it out. This will help so much when connecting all wires to the input connectors. You have to take your time with it but when completed it looks fantastic.

You can be blasé about some things, Rose, but not about Titanic.
Well, this was a titanic undertaking. Took me a month to build this beauty and install the lights. Was quite fiddly and I decided not to put lights in the steam funnels as they were too bright and made the funnels look plastic. So placed those lights into other areas (ie. The roof of the grand staircase. Looks so much better. Really enjoyed building this and the lights just add that extra touch of clash!

Great Product
No real bother fitting these lights. I built the vessel first then added the lights, the middle section was the most difficult but really not a problem, it was putting the bricks backing the correct position. I like these because they are in three section just like the ship

Good but.....
I bought this for my husband to fit to his Titanic model he's building. The light set is great but the instructions aren't great at all. They are all just pictures and you've got to figure out what goes where. We found a video on Youtube that was far more helpful. Its also very fiddly and we've had a couple of wires come out of the connection sockets, so we will have to buy those as replacements. The light instructions are for fitting once the boat has been built, it would be far easier and make much more sense if the instructions showed you how to fit the lights as you build it. Taking bits off and having them flying all over the place is pointless. If you've glued the model as you've gone along, this light set is no good to you at all.

Titanic light kit.
This is a very nice light kit with good instructions. But you will need lots of patience as you have to take the ship apart to get all the wires and connectors for the lights but it's all worth the hard work.

Bottom line - its worth the effort to light up the Titanic LEGO set. It took me about 4-6 hours total doing one section of the ship at a time. I had no issues. Every light worked once I plugged in the USB for each section of the ship! Bring your patience and attention to detail - but it is not that difficult. TIPS: Use a 10x lighted magnifying glass. Download the PDF instructions from Briksmax website so you can zoom in and see more detail. Pay very close attention to where the instructions show installing the lights. Some of the tolerances are tight - 1mm off and the LEGOs may not snap back together. See details on these tips below. I built the Titanic LEGO set about 18 months ago and put it on display. Although it looks cool unlit, it was just missing something to bring it to life. I researched light kits and decided it wasn't for me. I wasn't sure I could do it or if it would be worth what I assumed would take days or weeks of effort. I feared I would be unable to manage all of the disassembly needed to install the lights. I also struggled to even select the right light kit. There's so many to choose from at prices that vary 2-3x from cheapest to most expensive. I recently built the Home Alone House LEGO set and found it unsatisfactory without lights - especially when our home is decorated for Christmas - so I decided to reconsider lighting up my prized LEGO sets. I lit the Home Alone set with a Briksmax kit and, although challenging, I found it very much doable. I just needed to keep going until I got it done. That set took me about 6-8 hours over two days. After finishing that set, I turned my eyes to my bare, unlit Titanic. I knew now that I could do it. Overall the Titanic set was easier to install vs. the Home Alone set, but make no mistake - there is a LOT of disassembly, especially in the middle section where you need to remove practically the entire top of the ship before you start putting anything back on after installing the lights. The instructions are easy to follow for the most part. Just pictures and symbols - no words. I downloaded the instructions via PDF on my iPad and saved it to the books app so I could zoom in (I'm almost 50 years old and don't see as well as I did when I flew US Air Force airplanes). I also found a 10x lighted magnifying glass super helpful. The magnifying glass I used has a larger base so you can use both hands on the install instead of holding the magnifying glass. Most of this kit is LED lights that stick on via a small circuit board. Only two point lights go on the ship plus 8 more point lights in the funnels to light up the smoke stacks. For the LED light boards, be careful to follow the pictures very closely. Some of the LED lights will be mounted in a 1-LEGO-unit-wide space between two bricks with tight tolerances. If you notice the LEGO pieces do not go back together smoothly, don't force it. Inspect more closely to see what is getting in the way and fix it. If you need to, you can remove the LED light boards and re-stick them in the right spot. Overall I would buy again. I can't really speak to Briksmax customer service if you have a problem. I did have one bad light on my Home Alone set, reached out on their website, and never heard back (at least not within 4-5 days). Good luck!

I popped the BRIKSMAX LED kit into my LEGO Titanic like a mad shipyard electrician on espresso, and *mon dieu*—this 9,000-piece behemoth went from “impressive plastic iceberg bait” to “Broadway float glowing like it’s auditioning for a James Cameron sequel.” The warm white deck lights? Pure Edwardian *vibes*—every tiny porthole twinkles like a first-class passenger sneaking champagne. The red/green navigation lights blink with the smug confidence of “LOL, iceberg who?” And the engine room glow? A moody blue pulse that screams, “Yes, I *do* run on dreams and micro-LEDs.” Installation was smoother than the Titanic *wished* its maiden voyage had been. Color-coded wires, zero glue, and instructions clearer than the captain’s *actual* orders that night. Took me two cozy evenings, one podcast about sea shanties, and zero existential crises. Now it sits on my shelf like a 4-foot neon “told you so” to history. Guests walk in, gasp, then whisper, “Is that… *legal* levels of majestic?” Battery pack hides like a stowaway, remote lets me dim the drama from “unsinkable swagger” to “haunting moonlight wreckage.” BRIKSMAX didn’t just light the Titanic—they gave it a phoenix moment. 5 stars, would re-enact the iceberg scene with glow sticks again. 🚢✨
