I don't love them, but I like them a lot.
I've owned a pair of these shoes for three years. I like them a lot. The bottom of the shoes has worn off a good bit. At the back of the heel, it's worn enough to create holes. It's hard for me to find shoes that feel comfortable. Due to the symptoms of an autoimmune disease, the insoles of most shoes aggravate my symptoms. These shoes don't. They are one of two pairs of shoes that I can actually wear most of a day. The uppers have not started separating from the soles. It's only because the bottoms have worn off so much compared to other shoes that I give four stars. For my needs they aren't perfect, but they're the best I have. I am about to by another pair. I'm going to move from a size 10.5 to a size 10 to see if the fit will be more snug. The length and width of the 10.5 is actually pretty good. I just want to see if I can make the fit even better.

Good Shoe at a Fair Price.
I have worn more comfortable "boat shoes" right out of the box but they also cost twice as much. I rated these five stars thinking of quality, comfort and PRICE. Also, this is about the fifth pair of Dockers I have owned over the past 15 to 18 years and each time I found a very short break in time will render these every bit as comfortable as more expensive brands.Out of the box they were obviously brand new and well packaged. They fit true to size but as I expected they are just a little stiff in the area of the back of the foot and heel. My past experience is about a week of regular wear for a few hours a day will take care of that. Once broken in, these things are exceptionally comfortable to wear. My last pair were worn out just like all my others to the point my wife was asking me, "when are you going to throw those old things out and get a new pair?" At this price point you will not do better and certainly I would recommend to a friend. It goes without saying, when these are ready to go, I will order a new pair.

Excellent traction on wet surfaces!
I use these shoes for light hiking/running (3-4 miles) in Acadia NP mountains, especially when the weather is wet. These shoes provide excellent grip on wet rocks and I feel confident even when running downhill under light rain.I have a dozen of other boat shoes and some inov-8 and salomon shoes, but their traction on wet surfaces iseither mediocre or terrible, so I only wear them when the weather is dry.Yes I know boat shoes are not designed for hiking/running so they may wear off faster than you would expect. But that is fine with me. I'd better buy a new pair every year than slip and fall badly on a wet rock (it happenedto me two years ago and my right shoulder still hurst sometimes).I should mention that these shoes don't have heel padding so they felt somewhat uncomfortable when new.But after two weeks or so, they became very comfortable. Other than that, everything else is good, I like them!

Good looking shoes but with some flaws
I love the look of these shoes but, they could be better. First off the area around the ankle should be softer so you don't start developing blisters. One time I had to run with these shoes on and the next thing I see is the skin of the back of my ankle came off and I started bleeding. From then one I did not tie my shoes as tightly which helped make them more comfortable.

Great Affordable Alternative to Sperrys
Overall, this is a pretty great alternative to Sperrys. It's about half the price, while staying just as comfortable and stylish. They do take a week or two of wearing to break in, but after that, it's smooth sailing (Get it? Because they're boat shoes!) Since I bought this exact pair in the stores before, I knew that I needed a size 10, but for all my other (non-boat) shoes, I'm between and 11 and a 12, so these run pretty large.

Great Docker's Oxford
I've had this pair of shoes for years, they're great. They've been wet & they're still very comfortable. I normally rate an item the same way I rate a movie, I ask myself would I watch the movie again & if the answer is yes it's a good movie.I would definitely purchase these shoes again!!!Ken

Hopeful that qualtity is good
Nice looking and a comfortable fit. As the quality of retail products has dropped significantly over the years, I will find out how the quality turns out.

Good comfort and looks for the value.
This is my second pair of Docker's Darwin Oxfords. I wore out the right rear part of the right foot over a year's period of weekly use. Thus the reason for the four, rather than five, stars. They are the most comfortable casual shoes I have own.
