Excellent knife.
Great little knife. I've been a Mercer fan for a long time now - solid quality at a very reasonable price. There may be better steel out there but you will pay a LOT more for questionable gains in steel quality. My favorite thing about Mercer are the grips, which are exceptionally comfortable. I use this for general purposes, have multiple versions of the Mercer serrated models for slicing bread and never ever felt like "I wish I had a better knife". 5 stars all the way for me - splendid performance, quality and most of all comfort - all for a VERY reasonable price point.

Solid Mercer quality
After some research, Mercer came up as a great budget knife. I purchased one of their larger Millenia line knives and it's been great so decided to pick up this smaller paring knife. Great feeling knife that handles solidly and the blade is nice and sharp. Perfect size for cutting smaller food items and it's been working great without getting dull super quick.

The price is right
This is a good quality little knife, with an ergonomic plastic handle, from a quality company, at a Fantastic price (about ten bucks). If you are cost sensitive, this little knife is a winner!if you want a higher quality knife (better steel and a much better handle), buy one of Mercer's "Genesis" series knives. They are absolutely amazing!! Genesis series have high quality German steel, fantastic handles, look amazing, and are just a super high quality knife. Go with a Genesis series Mercer knife if you can pay a few extra bucks.

Quality
I recently purchased a Victorinox paring knife and was disappointed so decided to try Mercer. This is a great paring knife that's well-constructed, nicely balanced, and quite sharp. No comparison between the two: I'm a Mercer believer. Great price point and quality product with each of my three Mercer purchases.

For the money, an insanely good knife so far......
I have MAC knives. Their quality is well documented. SHARP as can be... My wife is afraid she will damage them and uses some poor quality dull knives. I bought this paring knife for her as she likes Smaller handled knives for prep work, salads etc. She loves this knife. It is sharp as any knife I have seen. I paid under 10 bucks for it. I am thinking of getting the whole set of these and taking them with me when we go for extended trips. Every VRBO or AirbnB has condo has junk knives. These things are amazing so far, in 90 days I'll see what shape it's in.... Not going to cut up chickens with this one but I feel sure the Chef Knife will...
