Love these for cycling!
I was a little skeptical about these at first, but after talking to others and reading reviews, I decided to get these. I have to say, I really love these things! I have no problem wearing them with my bike helmet on, and they feel like I'm not wearing anything on my ears. The sound quality is much better than I expected. They are not as good as the best in-ear buds, but they are good enough and the benefits far outweigh the cons. I used to only wear one ear bud, loosely in one ear so that I could be aware of my surroundings while riding. Now I can wear these as-is and hear everything around me while listening to music in stereo at regular the same time. Very cool. These are really a game changer for me! I've also tried these in my home office on Teams and Webex calls and they work great. I can seriously wear them all day with zero discomfort. Some cons: Some people say that they can become useless at high speeds with wind noise. I have not really experienced this problem even at 20-25mph. Maybe this could be a problem on a really windy day at these speeds. I suppose it could be a problem on a long decent as well at higher speeds, but really the climb is where I need some music to get through it sometimes. Another con is if you answer your cell phone while riding (you can do that by tapping the side button) you need to stop or slow down so that both sides can hear each other. And lastly, I wish the charge lasted longer. I can't really use them all day at work and then go on a long bike ride. I do realize though, that the bone conduction technology has to use more energy than standard earbuds to achieve the same volume, so I understand this and am okay with it. (Maybe I'll get another pair some day for my home office!) Other thoughts: My wife bought the OpenFit Open-Ear model after trying these out because she prefers the individual earbuds that do not go around the back of the head. Those are awesome too with possibly slightly better sound quality. But for me I prefer these because I find it much easier to put them on my head, especially because I don't have as much hair as she does. They kind of just fall into place, with no adjustments needed.

Great Headphones, great customer service
These headphones are great for walking, running or working. Great sound and still allows you to hear the outside world. The battery lasts throughout the day with continuous use. Have purchased sets for myself and my kids. Had issues with one set and the customer service was great. Highly recommend.

best sound, quality and fit.
the best; I tried my son's first before purchasing. perfect for gym, biking, hiking, and just chilling. I have a box full of earphones of all types and sizes but this wins for me. it's very comfortable to wear for hours at a time and bass is good too.

I didn't expect to like these as much as I do.
First the positive.. they are far more comfortable and sound better to me than in ear earbuds. It's surprising how good these sound, and how well they retain clarity and detail even at very low volume levels. I can leave them on all day with no discomfort, and they have the advantage that I can have conversations with coworkers without the need to drop out an earbud every time someone asks me a question. Sound quality is very good, although not as good as say a full coverage headphone. They go the day on a single charge, although they report 'battery medium' at about 30 minutes use so I don't fully trust them yet. They don't interfere with my reading glasses, and I can use a standard phone without the need to remove them. The neutrals.. they don't offer much in the way of controls, but the controls they do offer are simple and work well. Now the negatives.. although the list is short. I absolutely hate the magnetic charger, and this is the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5. I would have gotten something else had I realized they don't use standard type C cables. If you have a collar, the hoop around the back of your head can bump it and move them around a little. Not a big deal, but worth noting. And.. that's IT. I love these things, and unless I specifically want noise reduction of some sort, can't see myself switching back to in ear earbuds. Like ever.

Excellent Comfort, Quality, and Bass
As an owner of Apple AirPod Pro, Max headset, etc, I ordered these to experiment with “bone conduction” technology. So far, I’ve very impressed. Some features that intrigue me: 1. Normally something goes in your ear to restrict outside sound. When I’m working and using these for MS Teams, WebEx, etc - I may want to hear someone in the room talking to me. This new perspective on sound isolation versus allowing environmental sound (also discussed by other users to be safer when outdoors running) is a reason to add these to your sound listening tools. 2. The Bass is thumping! (Literally) against my head. This is the first pair of headphones where I’ve “had” to turn them down a bit. 3. My partner can hear the music. I’ve read other reviews where this technology isolates the sound only to the user - this is not the case. High quality music, but if you turn it up others can hear you. 4. Comfort - perfect. As you can see in my pic, the headset rests comfortably over the ear and lightly touches your cheek bone. Probably the most comfortable headset every owned. 5. Get rid of inside ear devices. The in-ear earbuds and the silicone, rubber, etc have cause me issues with excessive use during the pandemic. (My ear canal skin is now suddenly sensitive to the rubber tips… and yes, I’ve swapped out and tried other products). I had to give my apple AirPod pro set to my partner, who loves them (and I miss them). If you’re looking for something high quality that doesn’t go into your ear, this is perfect. 6. Video conferencing “look”. Visually, they’re hardly noticeable. If you’re conferencing now “at home” during the pandemic and don’t want “headphones” being broadcasted, this is a great option. (I’ll be testing more this week). 7. Bluetooth pairing. While this can be a nightmare, I’ve found this multi-pairing feature (standard on apple headphones) to be perfect. I quickly paired to my iPhone, IPad, and work iPad very easily with no issues. I’ll revise this review of this critical attribute changes. If I have trouble connecting, or staying connected… this product will be returned immediately. 8. Magnetic connection charger. Unique “one of a kind” proprietary cord. Works great, but don’t lose it. 9. The back antenna/connector does not touch your head. It sticks out behind your head. As such, you cannot use them laying down in bed. Well hidden for calls. The only thing I “feel” when wearing these is the light touch on my cheek bones. Overall, I’ll call these an amazing addition to my sound listening tools. I use apple AirPod Max for listening to Dolby Atmos movies and Spatial Audio with superb 3D sound quality. I didn’t purchase Shokz for that reason. I’ll use headphones for entertainment purposes (3D audio), but these Shokz are excellent for everything else. If you want high quality, lightweight, versatile headphones that allow others to talk to you (not you isolate them out), or hear that car coming when you’re running or biking - these are for you. If you don’t need the “thumping bass”, a lower cost model might suit you perfectly.

Comfortable headphones for calls and long term wear
Purchased these primarily for phone calls and music while driving. I chose the open ear model so that I could continue to hear surroundings while driving. The mini size may look small but fits perfectly over the ears with room to spare. They are comfortable to wear for long periods of time without the ear fatigue of inner ear headphones and the sound clarity for calls is fantastic! No one on calls complains of any background noise and connection has not dropped like my other Beats headsets. The battery lasts all day without the need for recharging. The only quirk I noticed that takes a little getting used to is the pulsing/vibrating sensation from the speakers that you feel more or less depending on the bass of the music or pitch of someone's voice. Music quality is good, but may not be as clear as a Bose headphone, but I chose these over Bose due to all the negative reviews (for Bose) on call clarity which is my primary need for these headphones.

Excellent quality
In the very short time that I have used this item, I have been extremely happy. Easy to use and operate. Pairs fast, quality of sound excellent and comfortable 👌 to wear.

A excellent entry into a different headphone type
I’ll start by saying, let’s get one thing out of the way right now. These will not sound as good as dynamic, planar magnetic, multi driver balanced armature nor electrostatic, any of the air moving type of drivers. It just won’t, and to expect that is setting yourself up for failure. These are not designed to take on mid or high end models of those transducer types. You will not get bass deeper than mid low bass, as one would get from say a large diameter dynamic or a planar magnetic. And you won’t get meticulous separation and sparkly highs and resolution. Once again it’s not what these type of headphones are. You won’t get eardrum pounding volume either. However now it might seem like I’m bashing the sound quality, not at all. These sound great for what they are. Especially with vocals, and they do handle highs much better than I imagined. Soundstage and spacial positioning is actually quite surprisingly good. Bass is there, however dont expect rumbling sub bass, If Shox did push for that, it would not be comfortable. Which yes you will feel light thumps and vibrations esp during bass hits. Their volume levels are good but more confined versus other transducer types. Don’t expect volume levels compared to typical headphones. Each person will also have a different experience with these. Every person’s bone design, distance to inner ear, skin thickness, any fat (no offense anyone) inbetween the speaker units and the bone. As well as bone density, and structure will all affect the end sound in some way, for good or bad. It would be impossible for Shox to compensate for all these limitless variables, to provide perfect tunings. These do, so what they are designed for very well, allow music playing without obstructing ambient sound and noise to maintain awareness of one’s surroundings. I mostly bought these to see what bone conduction in a professional build is vs my childhood design of a couple of cellphone vibration motors, taped to my head, and connected to a regular stereo is. Much better lol. Shox did a good design shaping the sound curve of these into a decent, and coherent balance. Battery life so far seems good, projecting based on my volume and songs I’d say 8-10 life is definitely attainable, so I’d say Shox’ 10 runtime statement is true. Havnt ran it down to zero yet. The charger seems fool proof, and it comes with a good case to transport them in. Havnt set up the app yet, so cannot comment . Overall these are great for what they are for, open awareness listening and or assisting hearing difficulties. They offer excellent overall sound quality for their design, but these will not replace a mid to high end dynamic, planar, or electrostat, it isn’t what they’re designed for. Kudos to Shox for bringing a good bone conduction headphone to market, I highly recommend them for those who want music, while keeping ears open to surroundings. As well as for those with issues hearing regular on, over, and in ear headphones, and possibly for hearing loss, however consult a ear doctor before buying and or using to be on the safe side.
