Charter Ocap–4 (C4000 & S4000) 4-device Remote Control for HDTV DVR Cable BOX

I bought this to replace my years old Time Warner remote, which has been slowly dying a button at a time. Since they charged me $10 to replace my old cable box which malfunctioned & erased all my DVR programs, I hesitated to give them more money because of their failing equipment. It works perfectly with my Scientific Atlanta cable box, & everything is fully functional: the program guide, menu, DVR, page up or down, even the A, B & C buttons. Most of the buttons are in the same place as my current remote, with only a couple of exceptions, easing the transition to this remote. It was easy to program, taking only a few short seconds. By the way, as I write this review, I noticed that the main price shown is $30, which is double what I pain & is way too much. I recommend looking to other sellers listed for a better price. This remote also works for my RCA TV, to turn it off or on & adjusting the volume.

Works great - all buttons work - highly recommend.

After days and days of trying to program this remote I was finally successful. This product would have received a five star if it wasn’t for the directions that came with the device. If there is such a thing as a one font, then that’s what they used for the printed sheet of these instructions. Plus even with a magnifying glass the instructions were confusing. After posting on social media asking to hire someone to come and do it for me , someone said to go to the website of my cable company to get directions. That’s what I did and within minutes I was set to go. The remote works perfectly, and now I know what to do if I have to program another one.

Order was received on time. In perfect condition. Installed batteries, took a while to get the correct code for the TV. Would be nice if that could be simplified. These are good remotes as we have them on 4-5 TV's. After a few drops, packed around a while by one of the dogs, misplaced by a Great Grand Child. They are very durable. Still work after putting the case back together after a drop. Might last forever if not for our kids, our kids, kids, and their kids, kids, kids. Still need to replace the batteries every Blue Moon. Highly recommend them

It's a spectrum controller but it won't sync correctly and it is made for my TV. Ugh

Well, after almost 2 years I figure I could write a review. Shipment was fast, packaging was great, hook up to the DVR box was easy and everything worked. After just under 2 years, the page up button is starting to get touchy as is the "Last" button. When either button stops working all together I will be buying another. Update: I bought another remote to replace one that my dog thought was a chew toy. The shipment was super fast (3 days from CA to MI), very easy to connect it to my TV and cable box (less than 2 minutes total) and at the price, you can't beat it.

I have Charter cable, with an Arris DVR box. The remote didn't work, until I entered the Arris code in setup. Now it works exactly like my old remote. It is literally the same remote, except this one says "Spectrum" on the bottom instead of "Charter." I don't know where some of the other reviewers live, but my cable company charges me $20.00 for a new remote and $1.00 a month "rental fee", so I'm quite happy with this purchase.
