These cling on birds are beautiful! The sheerness is great, they don't block your view at all. The adhesion is great. It was a little tricky getting the backing off but then saw where they suggested using tape on each side, then pull on the tape and it pulls the backing right off!! Awesome tip! I love these.

First, these work. We have a large tree andbushes on the side of our house. We have bird feeders in the same area. Every so often a hawk will chace a small bird or a quail into our sliding door or windows, Since I put these up we have only had one fatality. Second, they are attractive and act as prisms and when the sun shins through they break the light into colors.

I bought these to prevent my idiot cockatiel from flying into a window lacking muntins, said window usually covered by closed blinds. The film is easy to place onto clean glass, but it can be difficult to separate each piece from another and to remove the protective paper. A good number of weeks after installation, none of the films has detached itself and the 'tiel has not had another window encounter. Added note: One year later, none of the films has detached and the 'tiel has remained away from the window. 2nd followup, after almost 3.5 years, all films remain in their position and show no signs of loosening. No 'tiel has been damaged by flying into the window.

Pretty hard to peel off the backing but adhesion after following the instructions for a clean and wet glass was wonderful. By the way they've been up for 2 weeks now and I've not had a single bird strike where I was getting them almost daily. A plus is when the morning sun is shining through the French door where these are applied they leave the most beautiful prism colors all over my walls. I can live with this! And it doesn't obstruct my view of my feeders.

I followed the directions (unlike, from the sounds of it, the people who gave this item a 2 rating. One didn.t seem to put them on correctly and the other put them on the outside of the window instead of the inside- presumably since he said the birds pecked them off). Anyway, they stick fine and look nice but oh, were they a pain in the ass to get on the window. Why? In order to get them to stick on, you have to take the sheer backing off them (kind of like taking the backing off a bandaid). The problem is that there is no way to get the damn sheer peice off with any ease. There's no "tab" to start the separation process, and it feels impossible to get the two peices pulled apart. What should take 2 seconds ends up being an aggravated 5 minutes for EACH decal. The decals should come on one single sheet- like stamps do- as that would make it easier to pull them apart. Oh yes, and once you separate the two pieces, the sheep part gets all clingy and won't come off your fingers, making for more fun antics. I've just finally gotten them all up. Don't yet know if they are good bird deterrents or not. Here's hoping all my struggles were worth it. Would I buy these again? Only if I could not find something better.
