The Science of Self-Discipline: The Willpower, Mental Toughness and Self-Control to Resist Temptation and Achieve Your Goals

Finally, a Book on Discipline That Actually Makes Sense
I’ve tried everything to be more disciplined. I've made detailed plans, set alarms, and tried to "just be more motivated," but I always ended up back on the couch, scrolling through my phone. I always thought something was wrong with my willpower. This book, "The Science of Self-Discipline," completely changed my perspective.Peter Hollins explains that just trying harder isn't the answer. He breaks down the science behind why we give in to temptation, and it was like a lightbulb went off for me. The most helpful part was the chapter on "engineering your environment." I decided to try it out myself. For years, I struggled to practice my guitar for even 15 minutes a day because it was tucked away in its case in the closet. After reading the book, I took the guitar out and put it on a stand right in the middle of my living room, where I see it constantly. It sounds so simple, but it worked! I've played it every single day for the past two weeks. The book taught me to make my goals easier to start and my temptations harder to get to. It’s not about having superhuman willpower; it’s about setting yourself up for success. The book is full of practical tips like this. It's not just a bunch of rah-rah motivational fluff. It gives you a real look into the psychology of what drives you and what drains you. If you feel like you're constantly fighting a losing battle with yourself to get things done, I can't recommend this book enough. It’s a clear, helpful guide to finally achieving what you set out to do.

Power-packed ideas/actions condensed into one book
I am not sure if this is the original work of the author. But it does not matter. This one book contains powerful practical ideas that can replace 10 other books. These ideas are very practical and can drastically improve self-discipline, overcome procrastination and achieve goals.1. 40% rule (David Goggins)2. 10X rule (Grant Cardone)3. Box breathing (Jacko Williams)4. 10 minutes rule (Indistractable)5. Urge surfing6. Body scan meditation / physical sensation observation7. Purpose, Autonomy, Mastery8. Flow (Mihaly)9. Intrinsic and extrinsic motivation10. Emotional intelligenceand many more. The good part is that the experients and various studies were very briefly discussed. There are not too many personal stories discussed. For people who are into self-help, these ideas may be repetitive but this book can work as one reference manual for implementing the ideas. Highly reccomonded.

Author of 129 books!!
Wow!! All the sentences written in book are correct. There are no grammatical mistakes. Book is written by someone who has already written 129 books!! Now, is there some way or tool out there that enables one person to write so many books? I don't seem to remember the name of any such thing. Do you? What I know is that my return window closed before I got to this book.
