Works as intended hair color changed now i am a French rose

I've been coloring my hair since I was 15 and I'm 65 now. I've used several different brands and always achieved great results, except today. I was born blonde but around 15 my hair darkened to what we used to call "dish water" blonde. So, I started dying it back to my original color, a lighter golden blonde. I did this well into my late 50's when I started noticing hair thinning. I decided to let my hair go grey and by the time I reached 65, I was grey down past my shoulders. However, since my hair reaches past my butt and I don't want to cut it, I decided to color my hair grey and end this two color "style" I've got going on. I used 2 boxes and everything thing seemed OK until my scalp started burning a little. Since I only had about 15 minutes left, I waited it out. It wasn't uncomfortable, it just felt like burn you might get with an old home perm kit. I finished the process but after my hair dried I realized that the length of my hair was STILL blonde! And if that wasn't enough, my naturally grey hair was still grey but with some blue mixed in. I won't be using this hair color again. Next time, I'm just going to let the professionals do it.

Color looked super cute on my daughter. It only lasted for 1 wash. I don’t know if it was the dye or her hair but the dye was expensive enough that I didn’t want to buy it again for it to fail.

I use this often as it’s the best version of this color I can find in a box. The color comes out vivid and the products make my hair smooth and shiny. However the color does not last long even for a box dye, and even when I am conscious of my hair washing.

I used French Rose on August 15th. Today is August 27th. The photos speak for themselves. While the color itself was beautiful when applied, and definitely did not disappoint, this product cannot be called a permanent hair dye. At most it can be called a semi-permanent dye and it is incapable of covering Gray after 4 to 5 shampoos. I use color safe products exclusively, shampoo, conditioner, everything, and I can never get this color to last past the 4th or 5th shampoo and I have tried it now three times. For $30 a pop, quite a disappointment. Especially since the color really is pretty. Just too expensive for a product that doesn't last past 2 weeks.

My hair don’t get any pink added to it. This is a waste of money. I had to redo my hair after using this. I was a very light blonde when I used it hoping for a light pink, but It left nothing on my hair.

I have used ASTRO BABE twice and both times I have loved my results - the color and the shine. The color isn't one note either. It has dimension which doesn't normally happen immediately after a full head application. There aren't any eye watering ammonia fumes either. It doesn't wreck my hair and the post color treatment is incredible. I am surprised by the negative reviews because I haven't experienced any of those problems. I use 2 boxes each time so that my hair is completely saturated and leave it on for 45 minutes. I also only wash my hair once a week so that may explain why I don't have the problem of my color fading so quickly. All in all, this is the best at-home box dye I have ever used. And I have been coloring my hair myself for 25 years.
