I’m so far very impressed with these paints. The price point is excellent and so far the quality is good. They are Water soluble, therefore cleans up with soap and water. Clean bright, beautiful colors . Also, big plus is the tube indicates clearly that they are transparent,semitransparent or opaque. Also, pigments are listed and colorfastness is clearly marked. Very professional packaging for all the above reasons. They also mix and blend well.

A few years ago I had to stop painting in oils, so I switched to acrylics, which just don’t satisfy in the same way. I decided to try out water based oils as an alternative. Wow. Why did I wait so long! While not exactly like oil, the paint consistency leaving the brush is soooo superior to acrylics - I have much more control with these paints. They also dry slower than acrylics, so it is much better for blending colors on the canvas. The paint body is a bit thicker than oils, so I recommend buying one of the mediums specifically made for this kind of paint. This set has an incredible range of colors and mixes well with acrylics. The number of colors - combined with the price - make this set a great find for someone who is not already committed to the medium but wants to try it out with more than just the 12 colors other (more expensive) stater sets have. I deducted one star for two reasons. The first is that a cap on one of the tubes cracked slightly, and the paint in that tube dried out and is unusable. Lucky for me it’s burnt sienna, which I almost never use. I hope this is the only tube like this. The second is picky. The names of the colors are in one or two point type, which my old eyes can’t read. The color sample at the top of the tube isn’t distinct enough for me to know what color I’m getting. Once the paint is used a bit, you can tell what the color is by just removing the cap. One issue - the paint washes out easily from natural bristle brushes, but it stains synthetic bristles.

Colors are all very nice, there are 22 single pigment tubes. Brush wash out easily with soap and water. For the price this is a great value. Set is good for beginners and professional use. Museum quality they are not. I will buy another set for I paint and sell my paintings. Use water for these paints as a undercoat or glaze only. In regular painting use water soluable linseed oil I use walnut alkyd medium by Graham it makes the paint dry faster and adds a nice gloss. Only use small amount in your paint to keep it water soluable.

Best water mixing oil paints around!!

Great paints, tried the water mixable oils for the first time. Blended well and easy clean up. Still takes a while to dry but not as long if you mix thin.

Perfect for blending with my acrylic paint or top layer and no smell. Easy to wash. Nice assortment of colors.

This set of paints was a good value and paints are good quality. Easy cleanup and colors stay true. The colors offered in this set were exceptional. I will buy these again.

Really loved working with this. Using oil paints for the first time. Since this is water mixable so it is easier to work with. The consistency of the paint is good. Takes approx 4 days to dry partially and a week to dry completely
