SnapSafe Steel Vault Door

Super easy install, door is very heavy and will need 2-3 men to help install.

There is very little info on the product so I thought that I would help some out. This door arrived within two weeks delivered to my garage door. It is very heavy. We used a Skid loader to move it to the basement door and then it took four guys and a dolly to get it into place. Once opened I saw that it had a custom built shipping frame which was a nice surprise. Pretty easy, frame up your opening and two guys can stand the door up. A nice tool kit comes with the door for installation. This a great door for the money. I used all thread and lagged it into a concrete opening.

The door is a great value for the price, easily thousands of dollar cheaper than similar doors from other companies. The door itself works great, and even though it was heavy (350 lbs), my wife and I were able to easily move it on a dolly into the framed opening.

I’ll get a picture uploaded later. Easy to install with everything you need included. It is a right swing only for in swing. Very good value for the amount spent. Door is made well and looks and functions perfectly. I’ll be recommending this to my friends!

Overall I am happy with this door. Delivery to my garage was scheduled at checkout in a 4 hour window. Required 2 men to take down stairs after I removed door from the hinges. Easy to install, the installation holes are 5/16 but are fairly easy to ream out if you want to use bigger screws (I used 3/8” wedge anchors for a concrete opening). As another person said you’ll need a deep well thin wall socket. Door comes with lag screws 2 keys three spoke handles wrench and socket in a plastic box that was under the door as delivered on a pallet. This door is not airtight and does not have any seals anywhere. There is about a 1/16” gap at bottom of door between door and frame. When Inside my room with all lights off I can see a sliver of light at the bottom. Lock works fine and it is impossible to lock yourself inside because of the interior handle. This door was about half the price of other vault doors that I looked at and I think it will serve its intended purpose well.

This door exceeded my expectations in build quality. I didn't expect that much given it's price. First of all be aware it is VERY heavy, it took two of us to get it into place and it was quite a struggle. I was worried that installation would be difficult but it was quite simple. The door has its own built in threshold so it sits right on the floor as you install the lag bolts. I installed this in a home we had built so I was able to have the foundation poured to enclose a 8'x6' room that my porch was then poured on top of, so I now have a small room completely enclosed in concrete and sealed shut with this door. After installing it I am quite certain that no one would be able to enter this room without some significant effort and specialized tools. I then finished it off by installing a barn door to make it a little more discreet. I am very happy with the finished product. Very good door for the money. Its not a fort knox. But it costs so much less, that its still a great value. Also, with a few cargo straps, and 4 people, it was easy to move up and down stairs with turns. Fast shipping, crated nicely for protection, easy to install. You get what you pay for and overall, this door is very good value for the price.

This is a great door easy to install.we secured the walls where the door is installedalso. Yes it could be broke into but they better bring a lot of wrecking tools but the cops should be there by the time they get in. I highly recommend this door.
