Good guide to Excel
Excel is a helpful tool for people in most professions, students, and for people who may just want to manage some data. For example, I use Excel at work but also for myself with my budget. This book explains what Excel is and what has made it stand out over the years. It takes you through how to do all different types of functions in Excel from understanding the spreadsheet and the ribbon to adding charts, graphs, and pivot tables to learning formulas to understanding data analysis. The parts on how to create charts were particularly helpful to me as that is something I am not as familiar with in Excel. A very good guide to help you increase your Excel skills.

You need to know how to use excel to be competitive at work, but it is also handy for analyzing data at home as well. Learn all the functions and learn some shortcuts, too.

Very Basic
This is just a list of commands and options from the drop down menus. It will not make you a pro. No details on formulas, functions, macros or power tips. Quick read for a beginner, but useless for experienced excel users.

Okay for regular users, not for learning
It's a slim 8x11 book that gives general use tips, but covers all formats and doesn't give good examples. If you are interested in learning excel formulas, this isn't the best teaching book.

Great for refresh and reference
I need to use Excel at work to work with and sort data, so I keep this book on hand to refer back to often. But, I got this book to refresh my knowledge of Excel and look at anything that may have changed since I last used Excel regularly. This book walks the reader through all the basic functions of the program as well as more advanced functions. There are also plenty of screen shots along the way that help give the reader visual aid. The explanations and the directions are clearly written and easy to follow. I think this is a well done book.

I guarantee that each person whether they know excel a lot or just a bit, this book comes very handy. everyone will want to give it a look. the book is jam-packed with creative ways for you to learn and succeed when using excel. I personally bring my book to my work everyday.

Enough to understand the basics to advanced. Good read and guide for beginner, intermediate users who want to get better.
