I’m not sure what someone who likes fancy sound systems would say, but my husband is a musician and we’re happy. It’s got the record player, radio, CD and tape player. I believe it also has blue tooth but haven’t used that function. I kind of hate when text messages or notifications sound through my speakers when trying to listen to something so I avoid that. Anyway, sound quality is great! Fills a big space which is our living & dining room.

No control of Bass, Treble, Volume over a certain level. You also can't add additional speakers which would complement the two small ones that it came with. Attaching it to separate systems like a subwoofer or blaster isn't available. It does provide sufficient sound, LP Play, CD Play, Cassette Play and Radio if you really want it. These can be played sufficiently loud without control of the various audio controls - a couple of my soundtracks I would have liked a bit more bass. Needless, I enjoyed playing them again.

The sound is not bad, however there are several issues with this item. The speaker cords are incredibly short - if you place the record player on a table and the speakers on the floor they barely reach. You can't place the speakers any distance from the stereo without the additional purhcase of extension cables. I purchased the extension cables and although they work, they introduce a level of static that the direct connection does not have. The description for this record player also says that it plays CDs and MP3 music, however MP3 music can only be played on a USB drive. I have tried multiple USB drives with downloaded MP3 music, including formatting them as FAT32 as recommended and using a low capacity (8 GB) drive, and nothing works. So the description of this stereo is incorrect - it will NOT play MP3 music or essentially anything on a USB drive as the port doesn't recognize any formats. Very disappointed in this stereo but will end up keeping it because returning it is such a pain. 2/18/26 - The radio on this stereo quit working 2 weeks after the return period expired. This is a piece of junk - better to spend a little more and get a quality product.

I received the first unit and it was completely defective. I got in touch with Amazon, who in turn helped me contact the company. Both worked diligently to help me get a replacement. I am thrilled with the customer service and the new stereo system I received and set up yesterday. I listened to old vinyl albums from the 70's, played a CD and an cassette last evening. I've yet to try the FM radio, but I feel comfortable it will be fine. I wasn't expecting the kind of sound I've had with expensive systems in my past, but honestly, it's really a wonderful little system for the price tag. Thank you to Amazon and to Musitrend for making my Christmas spirit "merry & bright"! I'm so happy today.

Although this equipment came well packaged and looked in undamaged condition, it will not read CDs (the screen says "no disc" no matter what CD I try). The radio, cassette, phono, and bluetooth options function; but I really want to play CDs. I called Amazon support, which provided me with an email address for Musitrend. But that email bounced back undeliverable. And when I went to the product page to try to reach the company, the item was unavailable so that I found no button to contact them. Thankfully, Amazon has excellent customer service and gives its support team authority to issue refunds. I like the compactness of the system, it looks well constructed (but clearly has a quality issue with the CD laser), and the sound is fine for me (though would be lacking for an audiophile who probably wouldn't be buying equipment in this price range anyway).
